I have been doing the office trips for years (Apple Valley). It’s the way to do it. They spend a lot of time checking out the best deal they can give you

I used to spend a lot of time Steelheading the Duluth area. Generally speaking that might be early but as stated the fish will be near the river mouths if not in the rivers. The mouths of the Lester and French are the most common and most user friendly

I have read the Rapp series three times.

    Agreed on Sanford.

Another great author is Lee Child – the Jack Reacher series

I’ll second the idea of flying to Anchorage and renting a camper. Then you can go where ever you’d like.

I have done the Anchorage – Soldotna – Homer trip six times and it’s awesome

I believe you should be able to request a permit – that is a Federal function not the state.

The deal at Home Depot got better.

They advertised in their circular $9.97 but in the stores it’s marked at $7.97.

I got 160 pounds over lunch today

My 15 year old nephew and 13 year old son both used it this weekend to register fall turkeys.

They didn’t have any problems at all.

Very easy. Did it from the cab of the truck

I liked the managed recoil rounds for my 30-06 so much I ordered a case of them.

My 12 year old shoots them no problem.

I’m suprised the IRS wanted $57. A couple years ago I called and had them send me the data (it did not look like the form but was the data off the form) and I’m positive there is no way I would have spent $57 on that.

Maybe you need to ask again.

As far as the show – this happened on their first offload of opelio so they have already completed the whole King crab season. I would sure think that this will have to be a part of the show

I don’t know about the legalities of them trespassing but I am in Dakota County and got a letter from the tax assessor this past Summer.

It said I could let them in and if I refused they would “estimate” the value.

I decided I’d rather let them in.

I called the DNR a couple years ago and they explained that in MN we do not build up points for moose like we do for turkey or bear.

Thats why one guy might draw his first year and the next guy might wait 30.

It’s strictly a random draw but I do believe they have a seperate draw for people who have unsuccessfully applied at least 10 times and their odds are a little better.

Also, the permit is a maximum of 4 people – only 2 are required

I think some state parks have hunts but you need to apply for them as part of purchasing your license. CHeck the DNR regs.

I dont think MBRB has anything to do with State Parks. They are more county/city parks.

You can hunt most State Forests and there are a bunch of those.

Between my friends and I we have six of these in the field and they work well.

We got close to 1000 pics over bear baits. Pretty neat.

I bought a used .357 revolver a couple yesrs ago with the idea that I would carry it bear hunting. It’s a ton of fun to target shoot and I carry it deer hunting now too. I love it

I remember “Moving Waters”. I believe that was the name before FTR.

That’s when I first fished with James.

Thought this was cool. This is off one of our stands near Two Harbors. A friend drew a moose tag. Dad must be around somewhere

It changed for deer last year. I dont have time to look it up but I believe a 10 or 11 year old cannot buy their own tag but can legally hunt on their parents tag as long as that parent “has direct control” over the kid. Meaning sitting next to the kid.

I saw this spring that 10 and 11 years old would get a free bear tag if they drew one.

    I’m in Dakota.

It’s been a few years but I don’t think it took the full 30 days.

I saw a road kill badger near my house in Farmington this spring.

First one I’d ever seen in my life (40 years old)

I fished there in the middle of June a couple years ago and had a blast.

We picked up smallmouth, walleye, northern and channel cats over the course of the day.

A couple things to keep in mind:

it’s no wake through that area.

if my memory is correct that ramp was somewhat small but I think you could get your boat in there OK.

    I really enjoyed fishing there

I was unable to get IDO to load at all yesterday afternoon. I tried both my book mark and through Google

    Other sites would load normally

I agree about the last 15 minutes and the commercials.

I left the room and came back and there was some sort of Alaskan reality show where some blond was running up a hill. I thought the channel got turned but I guess not.
