The MN DNR site is down. I was wondering at what age can I get my oldest boy started. He is 11. Is the registration for that through the dnr??

I think as long as he will turn twelve within a year he can take the course. They have a list of dates and locations on the site with the instructors contact info to reg.

you can now take the class the fall before the child’s 11th birthday. now you just have to find an open class! the Dodge Center class this fall is booked. There were many changes to “youth” and 10 & 11 year old hunting regs. 9 & 10 y/o’s can now obtain a free anterless license without taking the class. (no more using dad’s tag)turkey licenses can be obtained w/out hunter safety as well. I know cause my 10 y/o has all the licenses he can get

My son took his Hunter Safety in MN last winter as an eleven year old.
