My recommendation also would be to take the motor to an authorized dealer to get it fixed because there is a good chance that there may be more parts that need to be replaced. They would be able to take it apart and inspect all parts and be able to get all parts and fix it properly with out you having to take more time than necessary to fix what you might think is only one problem. Hope you get it fixed soon and are ready to use it when we get open water.

My friends wife just had that process done last week and as far as I know she is doing ok. This procedure is definalely much less invasive and I was going to go that route and looked into it and upon the ultrasound results there was a nerve that I had that was growing over the ligament and that procedure was not an option due to that nerve having to be seen during the cutting of the ligament.

The important question here is are you looking for a flip over shelter or a hub style house? You definitely will have much more fishing area in the hub style houses vs the flip over houses. The lodge hub gives you 64 sq ft of fishing area the resort hub gives you 101.5 sq ft. The lodge flip over house gives you 30 sq ft of fishing area and the resort flip over house gives you 35 sq ft. Obviously by choosing a flip style house you would be able to store equipment inside and tow behind a snowmobile or ATV.

The Rapala Rippin rap is a great fish catching bait both open water and through the ice. This bait is often thought of as a high action bait used for aggressive fish which works great for aggressive fish but often is a great bait for neutral to negative fish. I have found many times through the ice when fish are coming in and looking at baits and just won’t bite that switching over to the Rippin Rap and using it somewhat aggressively not stopping the bait and not allowing the fish to really look at the bait too long they will often just come up and strike the bait.

Sometimes I think I see smoke coming out of my hour meter! 100 hrs a year is not bad that shows you are using your boat that is why you bought it anyways better than sitting in the garage with spider webs on it. Good luck fishing and keep the hrs rolling.

Thanks for inquiring about what size net James and I had in the boat this week. I am not exactly sure of the net size but it is RS nets Green Bay model which you can order in many different custom colors and all models have a super strong yoke along with a telescopic handle which locks securely at any length. You can see all models at rsnets.com good luck fishing.

I use the Strike master Lithium lazer with the 8 inch shaver bit and I drill approximately 30 holes a a day sometimes more right now through 14 inches of ice with out any hesitation. I do charge my battery each night before the next day which charges very quickly so if in a pinch you could get a battery charged quickly if you ran short in the morning you could quickly charge for the evening.

Congratulations you just invested in the finest Ice fishing rods you can buy.you will continue to be very happy with the quality and sensitivity of these rods and really enjoy how much fun it is catching fish on quality rods such as TUCR. You will also see how much more productive you will be being able to detect light bites that you have been missing on other rods along with being able to present baits in a way that you have not been able to with other rods. Good luck fishing and enjoy your new TUCR ice rods.

You would definitely be very happy investing into some TUCR for all the species you want to fish for. As far as panfish go I would recommend both the Bullwhip along with the noodle. The bullwhip gives you great backbone but has a very soft tip for detecting light bites. The noodle also has a soft tip but not quite the backbone as the bullwhip both rods are a great choice for panfish. Fishing for walleyes you also would have some choices depending on how big of baits you are jigging also how big of fish you are fishing. My choice is the TUCR power precision this rod is very sensitive along with having a strong enough backbone to handle large walleyes or the occasional pike that may take your bait.As far as reels go for this season I have been using the Okuma Ceymar C-10 and am very happy how they balance out on my rods being very light along with a super quality reel. Look into TUCR and I promise you will be very happy with the quality of the rods you get. Good luck Fishing.

Beckman nets were always my choice in nets and when I heard they were going out of business I purchased a couple more and am currently still using them. I too will soon be looking for new nets that can hold big walleyes and have the ability to reach way out there to get fish behind the boat and not have hooks constantly getting caught in them. I wish I could send you in a dirrection but I am sure you will find one to fit your needs.

I have been fishing the Storm Smash Shads now for the past few years here on the Bay of Green Bay and the tributary rivers flowing into the Bay and can not say enough about how affective these baits are. When fishing these baits I have both cast the bait and also troll the bait. When casting the bait it casts a mile and throws true in the air and is not flopping all over the place and the bait stays tuned very well I will bang this bait into the rocks and it will pretty much stay tuned all day. The High quality VMC hooks will not bend or break after catching a fish or having him roll around in the net and the action of this bait just calls in fish. Another great feature as with all Storm baits it has a large eye for a great target. If you have not yet tried the Storm Smash Shads get a handful and try them this fishing Season. Good luck fishing.

I would suggest using the highest thrust power you can get withstaying with a 24 volt system. You can always use the extra thrust but you can not use what you dont have. Good luck.

Real good show with the smallies here in Sturgeon Bay. When fishing for these pre spawn smallies in cold water it really does take a slow approach with your presentation and when you do hook into that big smallie they kind of just hit the surface and stick their heads out and just wobble across the surface. Sometimes it can be a bit frustrating seeing all these big bass down there and having to be very patient and fish slow until they take your presentation but very rewarding after they bite. Good Job.

This is obviously a great bait to fish for walleyes in many different bodies of water but one key thing to remember when fishing this bait is to vary the presentation to match what the fish want. This bait offers three presentations at once one is a rise or jump two is a fall and three is a pause all incorporated in at once.

Nice job with catching the walleyes on the Rippin Raps and hope you had fun using them. They are an awesome lure to catch fish on and very effective in both shallow water and in deeper water. We have been continuing to catch great numbers of walleyes still with all the fish being postspawn at this point.

I always use a uni to uni knot when attaching a leader to the Sufix 832 braid. You do not want to use a swivel this will damage your graphite eyes on your fishing pole.

I use sufix 832 ice braid on all of my TUCR precision and power precision and absolutely you will have no issues at all as a matter of fact these rods with that line and a quality spinning reel make a perfect match for the ultimate ice fishing set up.

This ice season I have been using TUCR both the precision and the power precision. While the precision will do the job for you the power precision will give you that little bit of extra strength that you may need when fishing larger walleyes or using heavier baits. Hope this helps you make a decision.

That is a great walleye and great job on doing the bait switch that is all it takes sometimes. I would bet that the fish took that bait with some authority. The Rippin Rap is a very fun bait to fish through the ice or casting open water but my favorite part of fishing the bait is how the fish just smash the bait sometimes being in there throats. Good luck fishing and be safe.

I just had a couple of customers on the ice yesterday that had a 4 inch Strikemaster bit that he made an piece from the auger end that fit on to his cordless drill and worked very well a bit small but I am sure it would work for a 6 inch hole as well. I am not so sure how it would work for an 8 inch hole. Good luck and hope this will help you out.

The Bay of Green Bay is one of the best fisheries in the mid west for many species including walleye, smallmouth bass, muskies, northern pike salmon and whitefish. During the winter months ice fishing the Bay can be incredible for huge numbers of whitefish which are a blast to catch and very good eating. The Bay of Green Bay is also the home for trophy size walleyes with a great shot at a 10lb plus fish. While the whitefish provide great fishing through out the day the walleye tend to be more low light feeders but it is not a numbers bite we do not get a lot of bites each outing but the one or so bites you do get can be that fish of a lifetime. As a Door County Resident and full time fishing guide along with being an IDO pro staff member I spend countless hours on the ice each season chasing whitefish and walleyes for my customers and have developed some proven jigging techniques for these fish along with many great locations. This sound like an interesting trip you may be planning and I would love to provide you guys with some info on our fishery and also would be more than happy to accomadate you guys on the ice. I can work with some other guides in our area to help accomadate a larger group of fisherman while you guys are in Door County and provide info on lodging, tackle shops along with restaurants. Please contact me if you would be intersted. Thank You.

I am 5’8″ and weigh 200 lbs and I wear the XL size. You will definitely want to have the XL to be comfortable wearing all your under layers and having good mobility. I know you will enjoy your new Ice Force suit it is very light weight and comfortable with great pocket space and easy access to pockets underneath. Good luck fishing and be safe.

When fishing tip-ups especially in clear water conditions I prefer to use a #20 tip -up line in the color of white. When fishing in shallow water I believe that the white line blends into the bottom of the ice when fish are looking up at your bait and it is much less visible. I also will always tie in a flourocarbon leader of about 3 feet to separate your main tip up line from your bait. I hope this helps you rig up your new tip ups. Good fishing and be safe.
