I am not gonna take the time to read back through all these posts but did you ever try resetting it and going through set up again? I am referring to the process that matches the remote to the head.

I was running a friends Terrova without Link last weekend, he had the plain remote without the colored screen. I too had problems getting the remote to command the motor when people stood in my way.

I have the link with the color LCD remote and have never had problems.

IF they are getting paid well I want to become one. This weekend When I arrived at the ramp, I saw one actually sleeping under a blanket in the lawn median next to a landing on a metro lake. She had her lawn chair and Bright yellow vest next to her. Not wearing it mind you, the glare may have kept her awake!

I couple hours later I stopped back to grab a jacket out of my truck. She was still there, still laying curled up under a blanket, this time reading a book.

Last time I arrived back to load the boat. She laid there, never moved or asked me a question. She continued to read while laying under her blanket……

I am not even close to exaggerating this story, she never once made eye contact with me or any of the other boats I watched load.

I have owned nothing but Dual Pro for over 20 years. I have NEVER had a malfunction. I have had all 3 bank 15 amp professional Ranger Series Chargers.

Dual Pro promotes their product as the only repairable battery charger on the market. I couldn’t comment on if that is true or not, haven’t had to test it out.

Way I look at it is Ranger trusts the Dual Pro product enough to include them as standard issue in their boats for as long as I can remember. I think that says something.

I think if you search “On Board Battery Charger problems” You will find far fewer Dual pro negativity.

IF you bend it and the guide foot puts too much pressure on the blank you risk creating a weak spot.

If you bend it back I would not do so while prying against the blank. Looks to me like you can grab it with a pliers and flatten it without prying.

But like others said, i would leave it if everything si still aligned.

All that said, considering how that thing is bent, your blank may already be damaged underneath the guide foot.

I stay away from everyone including shore fishermen…..But for some reason they sure like to find me on the water.

The only exception, I am not a fan of people fishing on launch docks so I have no patience for them. Unless it is kids.

I have had Avid 7’UL for years, one of them is 17 years old. I am here to tell you it is by far one of my favorite rods. Last week I landed a 38″ tiger muskie on it. We followed the fish for about 10 minutes keeping him more or less vertical. I had minimal flex in the handle.

The rod tip is soft enough for visual notes yet sensitive enough to feel them too.

I wish I had a Panfish series review for you but I don’t. I only know I will likely never move away from the Avid, except for maybe one of these Ultra lines.

    Elliott SJ-66UL+ Spinning Rod

Gregg Thorne has been in the rod business a long time. I am very interested to see what he has developed here. I can tell you that the syncork is a great handle material and I really like his handle styles.

I have a Gen 1 that I am extremely happy with. The spot lock is not spot on but it does what I want it to do, hold the boat in an area while I tend to fish, change lures, grab a drink etc….

I am considering selling it to upgrade to an Ultrex.

I bought it new in the box at the end of the 15 season so it is really only 1.5 seasons old. Stored in my basement own the offseason. I have never once used the foot control

It is in mint condition 36v 101 pub thrust, 60″ shaft with Link.

Just got off a delta flight from Ft Meyers. I had 3 2-piece spinning rods and 4 spinning reels in my carry on along with a tackle tray of the necessities and a bag full of soft plastics.

I had the rods tied together with rubber bands. Put my bags in the over had and laid the rods on top. No problems and only friendly inquiries for fishing reports.

    I flew in a massive airbus and a 737.

Obviously tools are important in salt water…..I put my pliers in my wife checked bag. If we had not checked it I would have just bought a cheapo down here and donated it on the way home.

Bought my gulp down there and left it there.

Any truth to the Hermantown coach running his mouth about an unranked team making the finals? Complaining about the quality of his competition all tournament? Heard he was saying they would run right over the Moose and it wouldn’t even be a contest? If it is true he deserves a lifetime ban for unsportsman comments and the team deserves to be stripped of its title. They don’t move up and he complains about the quality of the competition? What the hell is wrong with the Minnesota HS League to allow this cowboy to continue being a d bag. All 50 states and 37 countries watched the pathetic #1 ceded team have a horse shoe fall out their butts for three straight games. Get rid of him already.

Just to preface my comment, I have no connection to Hermantown. I do know a lot about High School Hockey though. With that I have to say, nothing you just said makes any sense. No Way Plante said any thing of the sort about A level competition. The only thing he may have said is that the entire state of MN thinks HIS team, Hermantown, should move up to AA. Perhaps he was being facetious? Because they DID dominate MN hockey all season long, A and AA teams in fact. I have never heard Plante complain about anything but ST Thomas playing at the A level. That said EVERYONE thinks his team should move to AA. I believe you heard a bit of sarcasm in reposnse to the pressure his team has been under to move to AA. He may have been saying, “yeah we just dominated 3 teams in the State A tournament so we should move to AA…..” in effort to make a point to all his critics

Give you an example of the value of a good hockey team. I live on the east side of town. From our side of the river we know of Breck, Blake, Holy Angels and Benilde.

But this year in particular, can’t tell you how many people have asked me what Holy Family is? Where is it? Is the school new? Then followed with how did they get so good?(referring to hockey)

So does that relate Hockey success to public awareness? Marketing? It is amazing to me how the success of a sports team can build a school. Just watch HF over the next few years.

My point is, an “investment” in a sports team can fill desks. Most desks at these schools are filled by full paying families. So you give one kid a free pass and who knows how many more pay full rate.

Been to the tourney every year for about 40 years. Dad used to take me out of kindergarten to take me to the games. Missed school every year and now, well i don’t work much for these 2 days. For the AA, Tickets can be gotten on the street, expect to pay $30-60 or more for a $17 face ticket. If you don’t mind standing in a line of about 1500 people you can line up about 2 hours prior to the game and pay face, if they don’t run out.

That said, Class A tickets can be gotten easily and for face. You won’t have a problem. Leave time before or after to attend the Hockey expo if you are a fan of all things hockey. You will need at least na hour to burn through it because it is crowded. Kids love it because there are a lot of fun giveaways at all the booths.

I will now finish and probably botch the joke up…

I used to work in ladies lingerie department. My job was to size the ladies for undergarments. When I found some that fit I would hold them up and say ……… “Diesel Fitter”

I am guessing that is not the kind of diesel worker you are looking for though?

The ducer cables are also pretty fragile. May want to check to see you have no nicks or cuts.

Check these Battery, battery connections make sure you have a good battery and your connections are tight.
Is your Transducer touching the ice? You need to have your transducer centered in your hole.
How are you hanging your ducer? Do you use that second chord to hang the ducer or do you hang it by the transducer cable?
How deep and what cone angle does it have, Dual??

What do you have your gain set on?

I have the Predator suit. Like many of you, I like them. But I do believe they can be improved on. First off, the entire suit utilizes snaps velcro, magnets and zippers for flap closures. The snaps on the hand towels are ridiculous. They ruined a nice little feature by attaching them with ineffective snaps. The towels fall off.

Based on my experience with Guidewear, simple is better. They need to minimize the types of closures they use. Magnets and zippers would be great for instance and attach the hand towels with some other means.

Pocket placement. The thigh pockets on the bibs are tough to use when you are kneeling and hole hopping. When you kneel down they are covered by the coat but more of a problem to me is that they are on my thighs, when I kneel that pocket tightens up, I carry my small tackle boxes in them and they get nearly impossible to get too. The side of the leg or hip is a much better place for these pockets which would require a bit shorter leg zipper. I am ok with that as well, not sure a zipper needs to go dang near to my armpit. I am also confused by the zippered pant pocket access. It is hard to get into and I can use the leg zipper to access my pockets easier.

The placement of the hand warmer pocket on the jacket makes no sense to me. These would be better suited to be in the chest area similar to the bid hand warmer pockets. In the side seam of the cargo pocket is strange because you have to put you hand in at a weird angle but also if you have stuff in your cargo pocket it rests on the back of your hand, if it is a small tackle box the cold of the box transmits to your hands. Kind of defeats the purpose.

All in all, they are a nice product, maybe one of the better, that can be improved. If you will notice my suggestions actually reduce the complexity of the bib, which may ultimately reduce cost.

    How much are they there?

Not sure but if you drive from St Francis to many other places to save a dime, you will spend more on gas!

    PS…..Lucky Johns. Way better bait.

Ok all kidding aside, I would assume a larger diameter cable spool would be better than smaller. Obviously it owed take up more cord per wrap.

Problem with that is that you are adding size and weight.

There is an Aqua view for sake on the List right now that has a spool modification on it that may give you an idea of the concept.

Trap 2 is a great sized house and is an ideal walkers house. I have one and love it. IT fits any size pick up bed perfectly and is lightweight so it can be picked dup easily by one person.

The original version canvas sucked because there really were no canvas flaps at the edge of the sled which allowed wind into the trap.

The aluminum poles were quite fragile so i replaced the lower straight poles with steel conduit. It now goes up and dow easily.

So if you need to extend your poles to tighten your canvas you could do similar and just make them a bit longer.

This is a great idea and one I will be doing myself.

    Thanks!
