Not yet may take down to local docks to try it out. Usually a few fish around them as it is off limits for fishing until Mid – October.

UNIT is on HOLD awaiting Funds. The fellah that is getting it measures up to the dear friend I lost. ALthough Jerry , was big physically , he was even bigger mentally. A more imposing bigger man you ever met.

Jerry and I would always laugh at the kids who seen us catching fish on the ice. I am 6-1 Jerry stood 6-7 easy. But the kids always went to him first. They sensed he was as harmless as Yogi bear. His wife stood bout 5-2 on her best day. Two guesses who ruled the domain. By the way she was a par excellent ice angler herself.

Every now and then on the ice one our ” students ” see me on the ice. More people than I miss him.

I have a little higher opinion of Smartstrike. In fact the only two reasons a Humminbird product is on my boat. One is the ability to run the Smartstrike card and two the I-link to my trolling motor.

When doing a search for species of fish. Lots of the listed spot suggestions aren’t very great. But enough of them do pan out. It gives me the confidence to try new places and lakes.

I am a Garmin guy through and through. So you know I’m not being just a fan boy.

To really stir the pot. I have found wooden water skis to be ideal for constructing a smitty sled. Couple years ago waited for a 8-10 inch snow. With identical loads. The water ski equipped smitty sank in the snow less that snow ski version. Tows just as easy and with push bar attachment even easier.

Not mad at all. Just makes me wonder “if you are going to ignore” what I say. Why bother to ask ? Remember he asked me to find him one. I did not volunteer.

Like an idiot I sold it. I wished I had it back. I cannot stand livescope. Feel like an electronics technician playing with livescope. The PS 22 made me feel like a fisherman. In fact I am on the hunt for PS 22 myself now,

I think you are going to be hard-pressed to find a boat that sells for NADA listed worth.

I have a 95 Lund and no way would I sell it for 3800. The electronics alone are worth more than that.

Lund is a high quality boat and if this particular boat is suitable for your needs. I would offer something close to his asking price. That is just my opinion.

Another approach is to see what is offered locally. From your post it sounds like you have done that. Compare the Lund’s value to what else is being offered. NADA may be somewhat of a guideline. But it is definitely not the final say so. Its prices are based on a national average. A 16 ft Lund on a coastal location is not going to sell for what one located in mid America does.

What all of you have missed. The end of racism cannot be legislated away. No more than crime can be legistrated away. Racism has to be taught to be learned. Racism and crime will be with us until man disappears from the face of the earth.

The end of racism and economical equality is not the true aim of all the leftist activity. It is the downfall of the United States and its Constitution is the true asperation. All you have to do is read their boring manifestos. They aren’t being secret about it. Just like Hitler outlined his plan in Mein Kampf.

Now will those that can, do something to prevent it. Stay tuned.

Back when points were common in outboards. I had an Evinrude 55HP that was a great outboard. This was the only problem in ever gave me in 10 years of service. Identical probem to yours. Started and idled fine soon as throttle was advanced it sputtered.

Three different outboard mechanics checked it out. All pronounced there was no problem. Finally a friend of mine said lets pull the flywheel off and see for ourselves. Since he had a wheel puller it made the job easy.

Soon as the flywhel came free the problem was obvious. A set of points were broken. It had two sets of points. Low speed and high. Called marina for new set of points. 26.00 they quoted. Took broken point set to auto shop. Got the points for less than 2.00. Installed and outboard ran trouble free until the day I sold it.

Needless to say I lost quite a bit of respect for local marine mechanics. As a couple of knuckle buster back yard mechanics fixed what they could not find.

My most recent outing was to my rheumotologist. Before being permitted to enter the building. My temperature was taken by a nurse in full protective gear. Took less than 10 seconds. Most of these scanners are south of 30.00 cost wise.

Why not have every public access building use the same parameters ? Since a high temperature is one of the leading indicators of the pandemic virus. It also is an indicator of common influenza.

By the way wife and I started taking our own temps every morning. In conjunction with this we both have started wearing masks on public outings. Not for our protection but for others.

I think these actions make more sense than any banning because of some whim of someone in power. Freedom is almost impossible to attain yet so easy to lose. Any historian will back that up.

My local wal mart had an unbelievable sale a few years back. A recently promoted young know it all put on a sale we all dream about.

Both guns and fishing gear. Gun prices were so good independent dealers flocked to the store. I got in about middle of sale. 79$-89 $ rods were going for 19.99 . All the way down to 4.99 to 9.99 for lesser value rods. I picked up an arm load of them.

Next year I asked an older guy in sporting goods. The big sale is going to go on this year like last. He laughed and said the guy that did that. Was fired the following business quarter.

Prediction from a diehard Tribe fan. Look for Twins biggest headache to be the Chisox . The Tribe has not done much to add offensive help.

The Tribe had an average at best offense last year. Elite pitching and good fielding only went so far. Any line up that has Allen in the outfield is in question. His defense is awesome as well as his competitive spirit. He cannot hit MLB pitching period.

Unfortunately he is not the exception in the outfield. Lindor and Santana were the only two players that maintained reliable offensive production the entire season. Ramirez came on strong in the 2nd half last year. The length of his slump really concerns me though.

Not too many teams compete for a divisional crown with only two steady offensive weapons.

Though right handed I prefer the starboard side for my electronics. I have always used my right arm to steer my tiller boats.

I have added a 1242 xsv to the equation this year. I want to mount the older 1040 gpsmap garmin on bottom and the new 1242 on top .

Anyone have a good idea for stack mounting them ? I have found one mount that I like so far at cornfield crappie. Just don’t know if I want to pony up 275 for it.

Well the archangel rod is designed to feel the bite. As opposed to seeing the bite. Hence the much stiffer tip than one would normally expect.

I like everything about the archangel except its price. Even at 100 I will personally pass.

Ok just some food for thought. One of the biggest arguments in the support of Vexilars. Is thier longevity. Which is absolutely true.

So sun dials are even better in longevity. But are they easy to strap on your wrist ? It can be used to tell time. But there are other options that can do that + more.

Vexilar or any flasher is a one trick pony. What it does it does well. It is the sun dial of fish finder technology.

Interpret my tired of hearing statement differently. It is an argument that anti-gunners use not me. My statement about the 2nd amendment should have clarified that.

As to the militia standing up to the US armed services. Any of you remember Vietnam ? I do as I was there. We won all the battles but lost the war. Afghanistan ring any bells ? Now our longest war we ever fought. Want to bet who the eventual winner is going to be ?

Legend or fact I really don’t know. But during the Vietnam war it was said a Huey gun jockey . Landed his craft and noticed a crossbow bolt stuck in the fuselage. Pilot commented how they expect to win fighting us with primitive weapons. Someone on the scene commented how do you conquer people that are willing to do so ? Food for thought.

One argument I am absolutely tired of hearing. You don’t need a gun like that to hunt. Hunting has nothing to do with the 2nd amendment to the Constitution. Its purpose is to keep citizens in control of their government.

That is like arguing that only discussion of weather is necessary for the 1st amendment. Our founding fathers that wrote and engineered the Constitution were not only very intelligent. They were also very futuristic in their thinking. Example : during Jefferson’s lifetime. A flight of a manned balloon was documented. From that one flight Jefferson predicted airports. He also predicted the change in military importance of ports.

They were also aware of any government’s main purpose. To gain more power is the first aim of any form of government. To keep that natural inclination in check. They gave us the Bill of Rights. Each one as important as the other. How ever without the 2nd they will all be worthless.

Lastly ” gun control ” has nothing to do about crime or safety. Its about people control. If the lefties believe so much in gun free zones. Why not just post thousands of those notices at their upcoming convention ? Instead of hiring armed guards for millions of dollars ?

About listing for more than the seller actually wants. I have learned over the years when selling anything. List for what you actually want. Most people that want to dicker, not all ,aren’t that serious.

Personally I feel it is deceiving . Obviously I am in the minority. Just like when someone says ” cash money ” . Someone care to explain what other cash there is ? This statement is usually followed by a low ball offer. Since I list everything I sell as ” price firm “. Which is the least I am willing to take. If you don’t like the price don’t contact keep looking elsewhere.

To the OP’s question of who is at fault. Both of you. To expect a vehicle with that many miles to be fault free is unrealistic. The seller is at fault for trying to get you to forget inspection by your mechanic. The fact that he works at a dealership has nothing to do with the equation. Regardless of papers and invoices showed to you. You would never know what he actually paid for the parts. Dealerships just vary too much on any deals given to employees.

If advertised as needing nothing. Once your mechanic found these problems. He should have adjusted his price accordingly. Long time ago bought a three year old pickup. Seller advertised same way. Mutually agreed to let my mechanic give it an inspection. Found about 500 $ of work that needed to be done. Offered 250 less than his original asking price. Both of us walked away happy.

More than likely the thing to do now in your case. Is both of you agree to move on and deal with other people.

As a Browns fan I have to assume your OC now our HC is as smart as a brick. I have to question anyone’s intelligence. That would even consider working for Glorious Leader Haslam .

Every year I keep hoping to hear he sold the Browns. Until then any hope in Cleveland Browns will remain just that hope.

The Helix 7 draws .85 amps . Amped Outdoors has a chart that displays the current draw of most popular units.

To figure out the run time you can expect. Divide the actual current into the AH rating of the battery. 10 AH divided by .85 gets you 11 3/4 hrs run time. A 12 AH battery would get you a little over 14 hrs.

I always go one step further and verify my unit by measuring with ammeter.

One point to ponder. No matter the carnage caused by drinking and driving. No one is outraged enough to demand the banning of alcohol .

” Gun Free zones ” gives protections to no one. Indeed it creates a safe place for the looney toon to do their dirt. Until the police with guns get there. Anyone hate guns enough to demand that the police leave their guns behind. So as not to violate the gun free zone sign.

Why does anyone care about the motive that drove the idiot to commit such a crime ? Suppose it was racially motivated should the victims somehow change their skin tone. Maybe the study should be how to lessen the impact of such acts. As in this case , the shooter would have had apprx 10 minutes of shooting innocents. The armed security limited that to 6 seconds. How can any sane person want any other outcome ?

Why does an inanimate object generate such hate ? Any tool can be used for good or evil. It is all in the mind of the holder of the tool. Anyone want to ban cars because the criminal drove there ?

When entities want to whip up frenzy about what should be logical thought. Their hidden agenda is what they are promoting. It is not about safety , saving the planet, etc etc. It is about political power.

Did an amp draw test on my Helix 10 G2. I set it up for ice fishing. Did test with LCD ammeter so should be accurate.
On initial start up it drew 1.2 amps for a very brief time. Then varied on draw but never over .75. I suspect the units with chirp will have a varying power draw.

Any how if 12 AH battery is used it should last a minimum of 16 hours. If a 10 AH battery is used 13.3 hours.
