Was out today on the south end of the lake pulling every size and color cranks in 4ft to 20ft between 2-3mph from 6am to noon. Zero bites.

Was a great follow up to last week fishing Leech lake pulling cranks, spinners and slip bobbering with leeches and crawlers. Zero walleye bites in 6 days of fishing.

I’ve been a big RF fan the last few months. I bought the test kit and did the bare shaft tuning and settled on a 660 grain setup using the 200 grain single bevel broadheads by bishop archery.

    http://bishoparchery.com/200-grain-non-vented-proprietary-pipeline-sr-stainless-steel-scientific-method/

All the stuff I needed didn’t arrive in time this year so i’m pretty excited to start using it next year. However i’m still a little suspicious. For instance there’s a good argument on why complete pass-throughs are not ideal because you want to dump all the energy into the animal. Whereas dumping that energy into the dirt after it passes through the animal does nothing for you. I’m using 375 grain setup now with old reliable fixed blade Muzzy’s and can’t really say I’ve had a problem with them. If I get a good hit they have always done a quick job of it. If I don’t get a good hit that’s really where i’m hoping to see some improvement? I kinda feel that I may have some unrealistic expectations.

In any case it’s really got my interest up and it’s pretty fun testing new combinations like this. Good luck to you if you end up trying it out too.

We cut cable for netflix, then cut netflix for hulu, then cut hulu for https://www.locast.org/

It’s free! (though we do voluntarily donate $5 per month).

FYI the law is 2 up, not 4 up. I understand you feel the need to exaggerate the situation in a desperate attempt to justify extorting & threatening otherwise peaceful people.

But in any case i’ve see 4 up riders that weren’t doing anything dangerous. At all. In that case i’d expect him to act like a normal, rational, freedom loving, non-sociopath and mind his own business. Yes.

    Nice public land buck!

My only thought would be with it being a touch high it probably took longer for the chest cavity to fill

This. Cut hide won’t bleed enough to leave a blood trail. The blood comes from the internal organs which leak into the body cavity.

Just so its clear, you are referring to a Warden enforcing this law as a Thug?

It use to be illegal for black people to sit in the front of the bus. The people who “just followed orders” and enforced those laws were mindless thugs. Don’t be mindless. Use your own brain. Think for yourself. Do what’s right, not what’s legal.

I generally dont share my opinion for this very reason…

There is exactly 0 harm in sharing your opinion. More people should.

The harm comes if you were to arm yourself and then proceed to extort and threaten otherwise peaceful people. That would make you a thug. It seems strange to me that I would have to have to explain this in words.

The warden isnt the one making the law, he is the one that has to enforce it.

I struggle to understand this point of view. Because he’s getting paid that somehow makes him not responsible for his own actions? Does he not have his own free will? Does he not have his own brain?

People don’t seem to understand the difference between moral and lawful. The two have almost nothing to do with one another. A quick review of history might tell you that the mindless order follower is responsible for the most egregious atrocities known to man. It use to be illegal for black people to sit in the front of the bus. The people who “just followed orders” and enforced those laws were mindless thugs. Don’t be mindless. Use your own brain. Think for yourself. Do what’s right, not what’s legal.

I don’t agree that the enforcement officers are armed thugs. Most of them deserve to be respected. JMO

A guy straps up, confronts you while you’re minding your own business, tells you that you now owe him $260 with an implied threat that if you don’t pay you’re going to get thrown in a cage, assaulted, or killed. This is no one that deserves any sort of respect.

He’s an armed thug wearing a shiny piece of metal on his chest.

    $260 fine.

A law that pretends to protect you from yourself is no law. It’s revenue for the armed thugs that enforce it.

I don’t bait but have no problem staying out of other peoples business. I know for some the thought of not trying to control what others do is a physical impossibility. They can’t help themselves but to try to control others these days. No room left for freedom. I’d also do whatever I could to help warn anyone that might be at risk of being robbed, assaulted, or killed by the armed thugs in green costumes who impose their opinions on everyone else via threats and violence.

The people in favor of criminalizing the taking of wolves need to personally fund any damage Wolves might do out of their own paychecks.

…once the toxin is produced by the bacteria even cooking it the the proper temp will not remove the toxin

While it’s better to be safe than sorry I don’t believe this is correct. I understand that 10 mins of boiling temps (~212F) will destroy the toxins as well as the bacteria.

Hundreds of similar stories, crappie. In our family we’ve lost the older generation. The new generation is losing interest. For my part i’m so fed up with things like APR regs, constant zone and season changes, and perpetual CWD scare mongering that it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth that I have no interest in participating in or funding that nonsense anymore. The kids don’t show much interest yet and with the way things are enforcement-wise i’m not over-enthusiastic about exposing them to it. They can do other things to keep themselves busy and not be worried about getting robbed of their hunting equipment or thrown in jail because they mis-counted tines or some other stupid law like that.

Sorry I can’t help you but this thread sure gave me some new ideas. I’m leaning towards a 1875 Lund Impact XS for the popup bench seats. Should be plenty of room for 6. The easy stow bimini top so I can stay out longer on those blistering hot, or rainy days. And the fold-able ladder and ski pylon for when the kids get sick of fishing. Little things like the rod locker and unique side-well storage have me drooling too. Now to work on those lottery tickets…..

Lawmakers agreed, and they also extended licensing requirements for the first time to the processors who were working out of their garage, a move the meat lockers supported, Muhl said.

Anytime you hear that we need more regulations to reign in big business remember that big business LOVES regulation because it squeezes out the little guy who’s trying to compete with big business. Every new regulation is a WIN for big business and a LOSE for the little guy.

Maybe make the cork so that it snaps around the rod somehow instead of up next to it. You would have more room for cork and then it could double as a rod float as well. In case you drop it overboard.

IMO someone needs to invent something that allows you to quickly store a rod with a 10′ leader.

The best part of bow hunting is that my freezer is already full, no frozen toes, and now that I see snow on the ground I can officially start couch season.
