Did you try calling Apex and telling them the issue you have with their dealer? (574) 457-2082

I too have a Polar Cart 1500. Made by Clam. I have used it a lot with zero issues. Use the swivel often. You can load/unload to the side when you can’t back straight up to it.

For my Helix5 Portable I made one from a 2″ pvc cap, stove bolt and circle of felt.

Search for it under accessory/parts page. My guess it only comes with the entire Shuttle Kit.

I need the part that clamps on shaft to attach the Mega Live Transducer to trolling motor. I called, it only comes as part of kit with the rotating mount part – $100. I have the rotating part.

I was told if it’s not listed on HB website it’s not available.

I was at Blain’s Farm and Fleet. The had a nice walleye size I thought was very nice and worth the money. It’s a Frabill Telescoping Conservation net. I really like the bag. Very light yet rugged. $90 at Blain’s’ with msrp $110 (didn’t know that otherwise I would have to many nets). I may like more than my Clam.

I looked at a Ranger Musky net. It was a good net. Read online – has to be true – listed as best Value Buy. I am thinking on getting a Musky size Frabill Power Catch. I wish I could see one in person.

    If it was mine . . . .
    1. Get extra fuse(s).
    2. Without plugged in inspect all the wires to see if you have visual damage.
    3. Plug in and try all lights. If if doesn’t blow fuse next step.
    4. With lights on wiggle/move/twist all the wires you can touch. If it blows you know where to look closer.
    5. Do same thing with harness/splitter under truck. Inspect/wiggle/twist.
    6. If still works ????????? Go fishing.

Last year I looked at every musky rod within 50 miles of my house. I talked to the guys at Thorne Brothers too. I have a Sage from them (1982?). I almost order a custom rod from them. Musky Shop in Minocqua WI by far had the largest selection. They have hundreds in stock. I looked at every brand they had in 8-9′. Thought I was going to get Shimano Skixx until I put one in my hand. To me every rod felt like a club compared to the St Croixs.

I ended up with a Premier 8’6″ MH. I wasn’t disappointed. It casts every bait I want. I’m not a huge bait (Medussa type) guy. It’s bigger/stiffer than my G. Loomis 7′. I almost bought the Legend. But I wasn’t sure how much I would musky fish so I bought the less expensive Premier. I thought if I fished a lot I would get the legend this summer. Instead I recently bought a quality 9’4″ 11wt musky fly rod and way to many flies. I’m happy with my choice.

I bought the stuff from Hodges Marine in FL. Humminbirds are the same price everywhere. The Mega Live Ice conversion was $1900 from Hodges and free shipping. I got the Alumatrac clamp/mount/pole from Fishing Specialties in CO. You can get the bracket and a rubber cone and use the Ice conversion pole from Humminbird. Pole cost $165 from FS.

Th BK shuttle looks okay but prefer the HB has more features, cover and holds the Ice Ducer. I can use the setup in my boat to.

If you wanted mapping on both units then no the dealer didn’t take you. Helix units don’t share mapping. If you want mapping on each unit they each need their own chip.

This is correct. You can use the same chip on other units but the physical chip needs to be in the unit while you are using it.

You guys are correct – as anticipated. I just talked to Humminbird CS. I also found out I can save my Autochart maps onto a Zero Lines card and use it in any compatible unit. Now i’m waiting for UPS to bring my Helix 9 Mega Live with Ice Conversion tomorrow.

I thought once you loaded on a locator you could not load it on a different unit. When I bought 2 Helixs for my new boat 3 years ago the dealer sold me 2 chips. Did he take me????

Humminbird in a WI company. Minn Kota (sister company) is a MN company. I called tech support with some questions before I ordered Helix 9 and Mega Live Ice fishing bundle last week. I actually asked a 14 year employee of Hummingbird that question. He laughed. He said that he never heard that rumor. The amount of tax $ they generate is enormous. They will never ban it.

Nowadays I rarely go anywhere other than walk down to my boat on the dock. I have a 98 year old Dad – not complaining. I use a square plastic milk crate, it fits the larger Plano boxes.

Alumacraft Model A. 1970?? I have 8 of them. The placard on the transom, 4 seats and 2 sets of oar horns give it away. 48″ wide 14′ long.

I’m guessing you aren’t near boat. Has a logo about where the rear seat is. Name on placard too. Can you take a pic of the side?

    $200 rebate on Helix 7 G4N now. $500 on a Helix 9.

Megs Side (comes only with down too) gets a BIG THUMBS UP from me. Mega down I don’t need. I have a Helix 5 portable, Helix 7 DI on the front of my boat and a Helix 9 SI/DI on the console. No one ever said I wish I bought a smaller one. I plan on ordering another Helix 9 for megalive before rebate ends. BUT wondering if I should get a 10.

Near the front and in the back. The only time I use anchors anymore (and it’s 2 of them) is in the shallows where I/we want to stay parallel to shore fishing gills/crappies. OR when fishing with more than just me with slip bobbers when we want to stay perpendicular to the wind.

The Onyx “All Clear” have a clear window to see if it’s been discharged. Those do not need to be worn. I called USCG. Some people were them only when the boat is moving. FWIW I read somewhere that 85% of man-overboards happen when the motor is not running.

I thought Jacobs was good, maybe he’s not though. Don’t watch many Raiders’ games. He did have 1600 yards or something a couple years ago I thought I remembered.

Jacobs is good, and you are correct led the league in rushing a couple years ago. Jacobs has 1502 carries/receptions in 5 years. Jones has 1449 touches in 7 years.

Hard to get touches when your in street clothes injured. Jones would not of been here next year anyway. Now you have a guy for 3+ years.

If you typically drive 5 minutes across the lake a tiller is great.
If you typically drive 56 minutes up the lake picking bugs from your teeth you will wish you had the single windshield.
I typically drive 5 minutes across the lake and I’m glad I got the chose the Classic CS.

Whatever you decide you should have a battery jumper with you, just in case-when I ran out of juice my biggest concern was I could not tilt my motor up, leaving it dangerously close to pavement. Good Luck

I have a 2021 Mercury 60HP. It has a way to lift motor without power. Maybe your motor has one.

    MANUAL TILTING
If the outboard cannot be tilted using the power trim/tilt switch, the
    outboard can be manually tilted.
    1. Turn out the manual tilt release valve 3 turns
counterclockwise. This allows manual tilting of the outboard.
Tilt the outboard to the desired position and tighten the manual
    tilt release valve

I suggest looking at a Daiwa with “Magsealed”. Fuego LT about $100.

I would call the border crossing you will be entering at. Take notes. Name of person, date etc.
