Yup. 3 hours from their office, not 3 days. I prefer putting in at Crow Wing State Park rather than Brainerd.
A little off track talking about fishing south of Brainerd. Back to North of Brainerd. I’ve done well fishing smallies there.
Pretty sure the new linder show did a episode recently with jermey smith targeting muskies. Not sure what exact stretch but they said it was close to the office which is in Brainard.
They usually film their muskie shows down river of the In Fisherman office to the where the Crow Wing River dumps into the Mississippi.
I see a lot of smelt ads on marketplace. I would have thought that would be done long ago.
Are the ads for individuals/private party selling smelt? Is that legal without a commercial operators license? Just curious.
I had a college buddy from Proctor and he invited me to my first smelt outing. It was the early 80’s. Awesome memories of great people enjoying the outdoors and consuming adult beverages. I learned it was important to have a stringer for my six pack(s) of beer. Nothing like a Lake Superior cooled Schmidt beer.

Almost as impressive as you offering detailed comments about all 82 games.Put the bottle down. You are full. A college kid playing 82 games when they only play what 30 in a normal year is dang impressixe
Apparently my joke was taken the wrong way. I’m sober, how about you?
Is it safe to talk about how impressive it is for Rossi and Faber to play in all 82 games this season as rookies? Only Wild players to do it…
Almost as impressive as you offering detailed comments about all 82 games.
As chaotic as 45 was during his term, foreign affairs were not. What a mess internationally it’s been the last three plus years and it ain’t getting better anytime soon.
Not very good for your property Value.
On the contrary. Now he has more land.
Here are a few ideas for you.

The parents of every underaged kid that was present and found to be drunk or high should be held accountable for their kid. Take away the alcohol and maryjane and its quite possible that this never happened. The way the kids act or behave starts at home. Way too many kids are given free rein today that haven’t earned the freedom they’re given.
The parents of the 2021 Michigan school shooter were both sentenced today for 10-15 years. They were definitely held accountable.
Good burgers food etc. Pull tabs, friendly atmosphere, I guess also everyone has there clothes on lol. And now days it don’t break the bank to Eat there. It’s a plus if there are STUFF haning from the ceiling…. Dollar bills signed. Has anyone ever been to Salty Dog in Homer Ak. No food but great atmosphere lots of stuff hanging from ceiling.
I started going there when it was a dirt floor bar. The Bird Creek bar outside of Anchorage was the Salty Dog on steroids. Too bad it burned down. But, my favorite was the Monkey Wharf in Anchorage. I think it closed down in the mid 80’s. This bar had a dozen live monkeys plexiglassed behind the bar. Nothing like the smell of cigarettes, alcohol, and monkey feces.
I’ve been watching the Chicago feed of the game. They showed a stat of the rookie scoring records for the Hawks. Bedard is 7th right now. What stood out to me is in the 1980-81 Denis Savard had 75 points (3rd on the list) and Daryl Sutter had 62 points (6th on the list). That’s 2 guys putting up a bunch of points in their rookie year on the same team.

Merrill and Goligoski pair… what could possibly go wrong…Every tank needs a driver
Priceless.
IMO, you can’t stop technological advancements. If more and more fisherman are catching and keeping more fish, it’s not the technology that should be banned, it’s changing the daily and possession limits of fish. Reducing harvest is how you protect a watershed.
Unfortunately, more and more people think it’s all about them and they could care less about others. Not how I was raised.
For the guys running grundens and saying it’s what the commercial guys use, what set are you running? They have a actual commercial grade set and a bunch of other sets. 500 a pop down to 100 a pop.
I live in rain gear and have been wearing Grunden Brigg 40 jacket and Herkules bibs for 25 years. Not the most comfortable, but they hold up. My non work, dress up rain gear have been the Frogg Togg Pilot series. I like them too.
Thanks JT, and sorry to the other inquiries. First come, first served.
Only the 3 Super Shad raps are left. I have other new in the box Rapala lures if interested.

Wasn’t it Roy that really pioneered the butterfly? Hasek was more of a fish flopping all over the place. Not at all common in the current NHL but yeah Flower is the closest modern example. I’d say Brodeur is the most similar to current NHL goalies. That’s what i’m saying, Hasek changed the style to more unorthodox/unpredictable…I think that’s how modern goalies play now…Yes, Roy pioneered Butterfly, Broduer took it to the next level…
…and a slinky for a spine!
Are cans of La Colombe considered cold brew? I’m not a coffee drinker, per se, but I do like a can of La Colombe once in awhile. Basically a liquid candy bar with a hint of coffee.
Be prepared that you’ll be some of the youngest people on a cruise ship. The majority of the travelers are elderly and like to have their days planned out.
I personally like to get on the Alaska ferry system. You travel much of the same waters but are able to spend multiple days in towns and explore.
There are many towns/cities you can fly into to get on the ferry. The furthest south you can get on the ferry is Bellingham, Washington. Or, you could fly into Ketchikan, Juneau, or Anchorage (you would have to travel 30 miles to Whittier) and get on the boat.
Cruise ships are definitely more luxurious, but ferries are utilitarian and have just enough comforts to be enjoyable. I prefer the independence of traveling by ferry.
