Hank and Ben’s First Birds

    The boys have been hard at it the last couple weeks.

    Hank shot his first bird (jake) in Wisconsin. We were hunting on the ground and he had a tom too far off to his side and popped the Jake 9 yards right in front of him. “But Dad, it’s HUGE for a Jake!!” jester

    Then he missed a nice tom in Minnesota Thursday after school. I forgot to bring a shooting stick with in the blind and he shot off hand at 25 yards. You should have seen the tears lol

    This morning Ben and I went out by the house. A trio of Jakes came in and he took his first-best shot. It piled up at 13 yards with not a single BB in the breast.

    So proud of the boys!!!
