    Hey all,

We are looking to upgrade the server to handle some of these requests – we did a few small upgrades recently. This forum is massive and the database has a hard time keeping up.

The IDO forum will stay in place as James has no intention of shutting it down.

We will keep you updated on the server upgrades as dave is able to take on this work.

    Until then – happy fishing!

I’ve had a 1989 Evinrude 40hp (not VRO) for the last 10+ years. Thing is a tank and I’ve put it through the paces.

Definitely have had to do some work to it – but all my buddies call it “the motor that will never die.”

I got a giant earlier in the year fishing for walleye – didn’t put a scale on it though.

Not a bass guy so no idea how big this is – some people told me 5+ for sure.

Tonka sure does grow some giant bass.

I got my hands on the Norsk aerator. Talk about quite. No more D batteries – no reason to charge since it’s USB.

Definitely switching all my aerators to these for those late night flat head trips when all I would hear for the next day is the motor running on the old D battery aerators.

    If anyone is interested:

I’ve done the Snake river in Idaho and the Fraser river in British Columbia.

We didn’t have a guide in Idaho and in BC we used River Monster Adventures.

I’ll chat with a buddy that has done a couple guided trips in Oregon and get back to you.

I fished with River Monster Adventures out of Lillooet.

    https://www.rivermonsterfishing.ca/

We flew in to Vancouver and decided to drive through whistler to lillooet. Recommend that drive 100%. Unreal. I would take a day or two on each end of the trip to make that drive again.

Now to the fishing. River Monster Adventures is a top notch guide service. It’s definitely expensive, but you pay for what you get. In the 3 days guided we landed over 20 sturgeon with the biggest at 8.5′. They supplied lunch every day and a place to stay. I would suggest the cabin on the river if they have an opening, if not staying above the bar in town has its perk as well.

I have done a lot of traveling for fishing and by far this is the most beautiful place I have been. The scenery is amazing and the fishing is out of this world.

Shoot me a message if you want more info.

I will agree with the fuel tank – every kingfisher I have seen has the same issue – always overflows.

I have 4 friends now that have Kingfishers. 1825 Falcon XL – 1875 jet and a 2175 shallow water extreme.

I am absolutely in love with the 1875 jet (will be my next boat). The 2175 is underpowered in my opinion with the 200 sport jet (same motor is in the 1875).

As far as the rides. Both the 1825 and the 1875 I have had no complaints with – super smooth and stable.

When I buy I will only opt for 1 bench seat/cooler as I think the two bench seats is a bit much and takes up alot of room.

3 River Adventures on this forum just purchases a new kingfisher as well – i’ll message him to jump in on this thread.

I’ve been getting a few messages asking if pool 2 has 30″ fish. Well, we stuck a true 30″ last week which measured at 30×18 and weighed 10lbs 15oz.

My favorite walleye pictures to date and my buddy Jon’s PB – he’s getting a replica made.

I was out in the Kingfisher Jet boat full enclosure Matt.

We started pulling HJ’s on the sand and in the first few minutes we stuck a giant!

Was fairly slow for us after that picking up a few fish here and there.

I’m the little guy for reference. 5’7″ 160 and I wear a medium in both the jacket and bibs.

I’m actually able to run my heated coat under the jacket as well.

I keep an eye out. I’m under the belief if you guys want to talk about current events – go ahead – I tend to not click on them most of the time myself.

I will say that if the forum gets run over by political posts I will start blocking and deleting them, but like Jon said above – the ratio is ok with me right now.

If you guys see people getting out of hand let me know, but other than that – this should be people all with the same passion (fishing), chatting with each other about whatever you want D

We watched two guys at the dam last night put a hurting on the small fish with just jig and minnows, pretty much every cast. Those fish wanted nothing to do with plastics thats forsure.

We fished way down river a couple days back and found some awesome fish.

Heavy current seams with slow water on the inside. We dragged up the slow side of the seam at .2-.4 with bright plastics. Fish were hitting hard.

We got into a couple sows in the last couple hours of light last night.

Current seams were the ticket – Couldn’t find them in our usual spots so did alot of driving and scouting. Green Paddle tail dragging the seam put most of our fish in the boat.

Did you get a length/weight on that fish? I remember the South Dakota state record smallmouth was caught a couple years ago. It was only 19 inches long but also had a 19 inch girth so it weighed 7.3 lbs. I had never heard of a smallie that fat before, but I think yours might have won that contest!

    We did – similar dimensions – 19″ and 7.2lbs.
