Bought this bag last year and have loved it. Plenty of storage options and has a nice strap to put around your shoulder if carrying it a ways. Hoping it’s the last one I buy for many years.

I’ve enjoyed having a bunk trailer, especially for loading/unloading solo. Basically just idle onto the trailer then will hop out and crank the last foot. Many of our accesses get blown out by people powerloading and makes it harder for the rest of us, just a side reason I like the bunk set up!

Always had good luck using non oxy and some sea foam. Good practice to start the sled up every month or two and allow the track to spin a bit. If there’s any moisture in your jackshaft or driveshaft bearings and they sit for 8 months or so it definitely will give you problems!

If someone could only make a nice 90s chevy again I bet it would take less than a year to sell more than you could make.

Only eyes we cought over the weekend were a couple of 15″ers and one 19″ but did catch some nice 17 to 19″ saugers that went back.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Sounds like i will be looking for a medium light and will definitely do a little more digging into all the options listed above. Would like to hit that sweet spot of 50 to 100$ and maby someday get one of the acaully custom custom rods once I get more familiar with what kind of actions and lengths I like. Thanks!

Forgot to add if you are going full custom. Bring the reel you are going to use and a 5’ piece of the fishing line you like with the lure you want tied on it so we can get the action perfect.

Sounds like you guys do a really nice job and pay attention to detail, will definitely consider that for next year thanks!

Anyone have experience with the frostbite smoke show? I usually go by feel and not rod tip visual for detecting bites. Under 100$ rod is preferred but didn’t want to eliminate options that may just pass that mark a little

Thanks for the recommendation on the wallye sweetheart, I know how to use the search function and have followed the website for years, just wanted to start a new post since every year there’s new products coming out and potentially more time guys have spent finding out what they do or don’t like with certain setups, thanks

I have been happy with my strikemaster 40v as well over the last couple years, may pick up a lite flight bit for it if I can find a good deal to cut some weight on it though. Have a buddy that got the new ion alpha last winter, had to send it back right away as the pitch had to be off from the factory or shipping so it would barley cut. They sent him new blades and now he’s loved it. Definitely faster as well over the 40v if that matters to you.

Anyone notice what the water temp was on pool 4?

I saw an average of 70 degrees over the weekend

Did well pulling cranks Saturday and Sunday in the river, probably cought 30 or so eyes between the 2 days. 10 to 12 of them being nice keepers 15.5 to 17.5″, seemed the color of the crank made a big difference

Went down Saturday morning early, had my limit of 15″ to 16.5″ eyes/saugers in a couple hours and let a half dozen or so shorts and keepers go. Trolling cranks did not work well for me this time and ended up trying some other ways to get them which was fine with me. Got off the water by 11am or so as the recreation traffic was getting a bit busy.

@ Bar, my center rod locker will fit 7′ rods along the top 4 slots, i have tried 7’1″ and they will not fit. I haven’t measured what my side rod storage will do but I know my 9’6″ collapsible walleye prodigy trolling rod just fits in it.

My 2020 yamaha sho did this starting its first year in the cold(below 40 degrees) there have been posts before about it that others have had the same issue with what just seems to be the 90 horse. I brought it to lacannes as well as others on here and basically got told they don’t know why it happens nor do they have a fix and will be updated if there is. Fast forward on my 3rd year now and have not heard anything more. Mine will usually always start the 2nd try when it’s cold out. Rarely takes 3 then 1st time the rest of the day.
When warm out always the 1st turn

The ones from napa are 180$ish, those O’Reillys seem like a good deal in comparison, thanks the link

I do a lot of night fishing and been in many different boats. The best layouts I have seen so far has been a combination of lights.

White light with enough to illuminate the entire boat for packing up to go back.

Blue or green to light up key areas but placed so they don’t directly shine in your eyes

Having an isolated central spot light we’re it’s easy to re-tie, bump fish,…. Without impacting people in front or back of boat

The central spot light is what I am looking at trying to accomplish for those exact reasons, out of curiosity have you noticed if the blue or green light is better than the other for not attracting bugs? Thanks for the reply

I would recommend going with a well known company with good reviews, once while working on a furnace I had the plenum apart looking at the heat exchanger, a duct cleaning company had just been there and cleaned the ducts but made an absolute mess of the inside of the furnace. They must have failed to block off the furnace while cleaning, customer was not happy when he saw the big freshly made mess and spending a good chunk of change! Would have smelt pretty nice on the first fire up of the season.

Have a 2016 sportsman 570, other than a few batteries over the years and 900 miles it’s been pretty solid for me. Awsome ride and very quick and responsive ( great polaris clutching) for its motor size. Each year has made improvements in design and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one, have a friend going back to polaris from Can am as well.

I was a diehard Polaris fan for 25 years. going from can-am back to Polaris? That’s funny. Can-am builds a way more solid machine than Polaris.

I had a Polaris 570 ranger for a year and a half and it was bulletproof with no issues but ride anything can-am and you can tell a difference

Yes I agree the can am is built better, never said it wasn’t.My friend liked the ride and handling of his pervious polaris more than his can am is why he wants to go back, not because of build quality.

900 miles isn’t alot but added it to my post for reference for my experience, thank you for pointing that out as others may have missed that.

Ran a 40v last year and loved it, had it catch a time or 2 at first but think it was just user error getting usted to the new augur. Battery life is amazing and plenty of power. One advantage I noticed with the 24v from a buddy was that the handles are more compact which may be nice for tight corners in wheelhouse, I don’t have one so non issue for me.
