Both Colvill and the Back Channel are open

    And have been for a few days. It’s good to see a few rigs at the back channel again…Spring is coming!

    this has to be a record for Colvill ice out? May have to pull the boat out early March instead of April this year

    I was boat number 10 on Sunday to launch at the back channel. Fish were biting

    Anyone find the big eye yet? Plenty of sauger to be had but I can’t find the eyes . After dark hasn’t yielded much either .

    Out of the 40 some fish we caught, only 1 was an eye, all be it a fatty 20.5″ that went back to hopefully grow to the caliber size eyes pool 4 is known for. Biggest sauger we got was 18.5.

    I think even the fish know its still February? I don’t think we will see spawning eyes for another month

    Only eyes we cought over the weekend were a couple of 15″ers and one 19″ but did catch some nice 17 to 19″ saugers that went back.
