Unacceptable, todays world is get it done as fast as you can so you can start the next job sooner, only to mess that one up too. This winter I was pricing snowblowers, not the wallyworld cheepos either. While I was there a guy brought his newly purchased blower back into the dealer I was at because the auger ran backwards form the factory! WTH??? Hope it all works out for you.

After killing 2 deer with the Rage 2 blade, both with perfect shot placement I had mixed results that had me going back to a fixed blade. Always shot Thunderheads but had to jump on the Rage rage but never again. Both deer went no more than 75 yrds. One a bloodtrail Sammy Davis could have followed and one that I found maybe 2 tiny drops of blood and stumbled on my deer going to where I last saw him after being hit. That was enough for me and switched to Slicktrick Magnums. Haven’t killed an animal with them yet but looking at the construction, blade thickness and out of the package sharpness, I have no doubt this is the broadhead for me. Plus they shoot exactly like my fieldpoints. Just hoping to save anybody the nerve racking experience I had.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Kooty, I haven’t taken a pic of the slug I found in him but it looks to be a Barnes Expander that never expanded, I found it on the outside of the shoulder encased in fat that turned green from the copper. Not really sure happened there??? Thinking maybe a long quartering towards shot and never got into the body cavity???

Congrats to all you have been successful already! Some real dandies already down. Way to make short work of putting a hit lister down Kooty.

Went though that also with my GMC, when u see the rust I think it’s already too late for anything but replacement. By the next spring they each had holes in them. Wonder if they make some rolled stainless covers for rockers???

    Stupid question here..

    Why such the high cost?

My guess is because they can. Coworker just went through this the other day and asked to have an extra stake midway between corner posts. A mere $500.00 for 10min of extra work and 3 taps of his hammer

Pro, definitely not the way her leg is positioned, been seeing some weird stuff lately too. Maybe all the herbicides/pesticides we are feeding them is finally catching up?

Do they record how many they take each year or is it whatever they want to do?

If it is anything like the res where I rifle/deer hunt, pretty much take all they want or probably even need.

Vic Davis at Northern Wilderness Outfitters out of Fort Frances will not let you down. Awesome family business! I’m pretty sure they have a website to check to see if it’s something you’re looking for.

Man what I wouldn’t give to even have sloppy seconds in a spot like that! That would make for a long walk home. Congrats to him. Does he always find this many?

Also used to get frozen smelt from Byerlys. I also fished with the frozen herring in ND. The Herring definately seemed to hold up better as far as using another day or after a strike. Smelt seemed to get mushy after awhile. No joke, one of the old timers that fished with us fished with hotdogs and outfished me plenty of times vs. my herring! Good luck on those giants!

Pro, I quit using video mode in all my cams due to them spooking deer and have never used video mode on my Coverts but in my other brands my vids were always cut short in cold weather especially at night. If you can bring it in,warm it up and set it up in your house, chances are you’ll get your full length vid. 10 secs is pretty short to beging with. I always had mine set @ 20 secs so even if they were cut short I’d still be able to catch some of it. Hope this helps???

What a sight! I cannot wait for the day I see a deer of that caliber. Just seeing one like that would be enough for me. Good luck on your pursuit!

Maybe they had permisson, I don’t know but nothing irks me more than the snowmobilers that believe thay have right to tear around on any property that has snow on it. I get permission to go thru our neighbors farmyard (driveway) to get our hunting land in the winter to do maintanence work on shooting lanes, stands, etc. I tried coming from the right a way a few times and you’d never believe how many riders followed my tracks onto private property. I’ve seen farmers around here give up year after year after their “No motorized vehicles” signs fail. Sorry just ranting a bit, good luck on your future sets!

For myself, from here on out I say #2 but that many years apart I think I’d find myself resorting back to #1. Tough question to answer.
