I just put AGMs in my wx 1910. They are not much better for run time than my lead acids were. All have been grp 31s. I troll the river as well and on calm days I’m ok but on windy days I end up using the big motor and then I can’t use i-Pilot link.

I just put this brand of lithium(100ah)on my boat to run all my electronics and have been very happy with it. I paid $370 for the battery. The Interstate AGMs were just short of $1000. After the AGMs go I’ll be putting 3 of the lithiums in. It has a Bluetooth app to see all battery info real time. My buddy put Ionics in his boat and they are nice but this is equal in my opinion. His cost him $2000. Guessing the price may be lower for the battery I bought due to the 5 yr warranty versus the 10 or 11 yr warranty from Ionic.

I was out Saturday. To my surprise we did well trolling cranks in 6-8 ft on the WI side. Nothing huge but 40-50 fish for the wives to reel in! Tried deep with lead and crawlers first with not much to show.

Got out yesterday and pulled crawlers on spinners on the WI side. Caught quite a few eyes and a few bonus perch up on top in 8-12ft. Pulled the deep side of break a few times but only picked up a few saugers.

I’ve been pulling 7 and 9 floating raps using a 3 way with a 2 foot dropper and a 3 foot lead. Works great on the deep side of the break line. I like this because it’s very easy to run four roads versus having all the line out with 4 lead rods. Gets down quick and u know where your bait is at.

Anyone out fishing on Lake Pepin Sunday with all the wind? How did you do? All I got was a sheeps head from a full day of trolling.

. We trolled cranks and struggled. We were spoiled the last few weeks with good numbers. Sunday we put 4 shorts 1 18 and 3 pike in the boat. Still catching fish in less than 10 ft. Tried deeper and pulled some lead off the break to but nothing to show for it. Fished from 10 am to 4. Thought about fishing the evening bite but called it early. Was nice to put the boat away in the day light.

We saw some small may flies at lake city Saturday. The bite was not stellar for us as it has been the last month. A little bumpy. Still caught fish but had to work a little. Things are changing. The shallow speed trolling bite was fun!

Build good human beings and Coach ALL the kids on the team. If they can learn to overcome adversity in sports it goes right to life. It’s how we show them to handle it. Have fun.

I just ran a 3 day coaching seminar with a former NHL coach and he talked many times about how we all need to continue to grow and become better teachers. Coaches are teachers.

The other point he stressed is planning. “If you are not planning a practice you are planning to fail.”

Always somebody who can’t pass the temptation to toss their nickles worth. Don’t like it…..pass it right on by. Have your kids show you how.

I was just excited it was fishing related applause

I did troll some shad raps in 11-15 and ended up getting some 17-18 inch fish. If I go troll the basin for suspended fish is it as simple as finding them on the graph and getting a crank down in front of them? Leadcore?

I have my graphs both on Ram swing arm mounts. Both are solid. I have a HDS Live 12 next to a humminbird 1199.

Just helped a buddy put a garmin on his boat. Went out with him to verify we had the transducer set correctly and I was surprised at how grainy the Garmin side imaging was. You could still see structure and cribs and shadows but it did not come close to what my past humminbird 1198 produced or what my current Lowrance HDS Live 12 produces. If you plan to add livescope Garmin it is. If not I’d look at humminbird or lowrance for just side imaging.

Will the onboard charger for the lead acid batteries work with the lithium batteries?

The Ionics will work wit a Min Kota Precision which I have. I am considering getting the charger from Ionic as well for another $400 because it is designed specifically for the lithium batteries and will charge them in 2 hours.

I have a squirt and a freshman in high school. My oldest played bantams last year. He did just fine with checking. He’s a rough defenseman so it was nothing new. He played on a spring team with older kids so he got to check for 2 years in that before it was allowed in regular season. I can’t imagine life any other way. We will be in Milwaukee all weekend for the oldest. Both play association hockey and do AAA in the spring. Backyard rink the last 10 years. That is where they get good! It’s a labor of love. Pain in the butt when it snows but fun to watch the neighborhood kids play out the window. USA hockey is really controlling the hits with new rules these days. It is fine in my opinion because the game has really gotten fast and hitting has changed. It’s still the most fun game on earth to watch for me!

I put a new head on my Ulterra to go from iPilot to iPilot link. It was very straight forward. 30 minutes or less.

We use a fungicide called Kocide to treat powdery mildew in our pumpkin and squash fields. It will prevent the spread and control but not eliminate what is present.

36 at home on the deck and 36 at the camper on the deck. Both with the burners on the side. You can’t go wrong with this model. You never know when you will have 20 kids lined up for pancakes or need to rip up some hibachi for family and friends!

I would give them a call. My old iPilot remote had rubber coming off and they sent me a new one and I was able to keep the old one which still worked as well. It was nice to have a backup. It not like you are ripping them off. The product failed.

We saw the Friday night string while sitting around the fire Friday night around 10:30 too. They were close at that point. It was pretty cool. I knew what they were but did not know the details mentioned above. Pretty responsible they are thinking of the reflection and dispersing them after launch.
