Had a trip there not to long ago, The islands would be prefer for lakers. We did manage to find a hotspot along the shoreline that was producing very active lakers while setting the tip ups. If it’s your first time, I would recommend getting a guide to be safe and get you on the fish.

    Ashland 10-12 inches
    Washburn 8 inches
    Bayfield 6-7 inches

Gets thinner as you go up. Just got back from a 2 day trip. Fishing for me was amazing. Made a lot PB this trip. Talk to few others sounds like it was lots of bust.

I wouldn’t mind paying someone to do my wires properly so I don’t have to unplug and plug every time.

I run both 18 and 30. I haven’t gone thru my 18 in 1 day because once fish is found I switch back to the vex. So if you use the LS just to find fish the 18 is a great battery. On another hand if you have a lot of m18/dewalt batteries you can go the route also. My buddy fishes with a 12hd and it runs for a long time.

deals were not great, very Low inventory and definitely was waste of time for me. I found better deals online for example, got a eskimo keeper jacket n bib with free gloves for $300. The show couldn’t even match it.

My Marcum has seen the shop 5-6 times in the past 2 years. I’m done with it they can’t see to fix it. My bird has been running flawlessly for years. So Helix 7 would be my next unit.

My experience with the 360 and LS on ice is that the 360 will stay on the boat and LS will but use on both. Well see how the mega live and garmin new tech will compare as for now 360 and LS, LS is win in my book.

my experience with the 1200 korkers was bad. 1 season and I had wet feet. Toss them and never look back. I was able to find a sale for the lacrosse alphaburly pro 1600g for $90 so went with that. So far so good.

I don’t think the odd years plays much affect, I have gone up for years back to back and manage to get on them. They are fun to catch and get some nice pictures. Last year was my first time eating them after hearing some folks do eat them. I would stay closer to the mouth of the lake and try to get some females that are still not so dark. Depends on how you cook it and season, they were not bad at all. All and all i wouldn’t mind trying again this year if I get some.
