Good idea to “raise” the on/off button at the top left of the foot pedal.
    Constant mode +1
At the end of the day I had it on constant and the crazy Ivan was not as crazy.
I guess I should not be as upset as I was, if I got the boat out more, I would be more proficient at its use.
Still, the design in my opinion, of the on/off switch having to be pushed down, while also pushing down to turn one way, or pushing it down, while rocking your foot back to turn the other way, is just “NOT GOOD”.
I will leave it at that.
    Rant over
    Sorry to blow up again.
I have not seen any “aftermarket” foot pedals for the ulterra trolling motor, searching the web, googling and or asking other forums .
    Thanks to all

    Thanks for the input.
The Helix is attached to the Ulterra factory installed transducer, so I will have to check out the shaft to see if it is level when deployed in the water.
That being said, depending on number of people and their location in the boat, that is almost constantly changing, but I understand “levelness” if you will, now.
    Thanks

I understand being out a stock.
I can even understand, somehow the computer system can’t keep up with online purchases, and having an item getting oversold.
What I can’t understand, is no heads up from them, that the item is not available and you wont be receiving it.
They have my e mail. I get almost daily sale pitches.
The have two phone numbers, one they can even text me with.

Again nothing, I could have waited 2 weeks, if it wasn’t for their 2 day shipping pitch, i would not have even called to check on it, 3 days later.

    Just want decent customer service.
    Just want common sense.
    Were out, sorry.
    Simple

    Well
    56 minutes later……
The order was cancelled due to being out of stock.
The very same day I ordered it.
    Three days and crickets.
    ?
    ?
    No email notice
    No phone call notice
    No text notice
They have my email, cell phone number, house number.

When asked when I was going to be notified……
Silence, then “I apologize for that”

I quit buying from about 6 retailers because of their political views of me, sportsmen ect.
Where the h ll do we go to get treated right anymore ?
    W
    T
    H
    ?

    Frustrating

If I would happen to be fishing on a boat within 6 ft of someone and we have no masks, it is simply protesting.
We could then find the nearest DNR boat, torch it, or sink it, then go to the nearest bait store and loot it, all the while maskless and simply statin
    I am protesting.

But, I would not torch or sink anyones boat, I would diffentately not loot any store, and I do not have time to protest.
    I work for a living.

Good luck finding a boating friend.

I only run 91 octane in ALL small motors, lawn mowers, chainsaws, outboards, string trimmers, tillers, power washers, ALL small motors.
Splash a little sea foam or I use Polaris stabilizer in it.
Stay away from Staybil. Imo !
Replace any old gas in the spring.
Start with NEW 91 EVERY spring.

    The old gas ?
My father in law and brother in laws and myself, have some old gas tractors.
Farmal M’s and JD 2 bangers, the old gas goes here.
Those older tractors will burn it, they have some pretty big jets and the old gas doesn’t seem to bother them, even with the 2 cycle oil in it.
    Good luck.

    Thanks guys.
It took me awhile, and a few more psi of blood pressure, but I found it.
Technology, sure is great when you know what your doing, or when you finally figure it out.

    Thanks for the info.
I live in Iowa and fish out of Guttenburg.
Not upset with the rule changes, just wanted some insight as to their thinking.
Kinda was worried the cat numbers were down, or bad hatching rates or something?
Iowa has no length limits, and no posession limits on the border rivers.
That is, in my opinion, rather generous for the Iowa DNR, and I have yet to catch Wisconsins old limit of 25 in one day, although I am trying to get better at it.
    Thanks again

    Yes and no
They do not list the Hook 5 HDI
They do list the Hook 5, it has a threaded plug.
The Hook 5 HDI is a push in plug so they are not inter changable.
Need to know if they make an adapter, threaded to push in or if the Hook 5 HDI even has a cable for it ?

    Thanks for the info.
I will try some things that were suggested.
Myself and electronic things that are smarter than me don’t always get along, just frustrated with it.
I know it can help catch more fish, but sure glad I don’t have a hammer on board sometimes.
    Thanks again

Does your wife know about lampreys ?
I caught a 8 pound long nose gar that had 3 of them attached to it in pool 11.
They were only about 3 inches long, but the pictures I took of them, we’re enough to freak my significant other out.
She WENT total Scittzo when she Googled fresh water lamprey, chestnut lamprey are what we think they were.
Sooo, depending on if you want your lady friend to go, or not to go, you could, or could not, just mention lampreys and Google them.
    Good luck

You say to remove the top treble hook,
I suppose this is too prevent it from snagging your main line ?

    Thanks guys,
I was thinking maybe the blade was more of a rattle than flash in the murkey water, and I do have rattles,
So I will probably do a few of both.
What may I ask is your go to color, and weight.
    I have 1/2 and 3/4 Oz .
    Thanks

The mid size about 3 lbs was, the other 2 no, I have NO idea how to tell if they were males or females that had spawned ?
Side note, I went out again the next morning about 20 miles upstream, and spent 4 hrs working a 3/4 mile stretch, with No hits. The smallies were working on top though, seen quit a few slurping bugs on top.

Might try a toilet paper tube, or a paper towel tube cut to length, with some tie wire “rebar”.
Or heck, some rebar with a hole drilled in the end of it with some decoy cord as a loop to tie on?
Just thinking/typeing out load so to speak.
    Good luck
