I have 2 Ruffland Intermediate size kennels
    60 and 70 pounds Labs.
Both Rufflands fit in the back seat of a Ford 150 Crew Cab
Both fit in the back hatch area of a GMC Terrain
Can run both dogs in 1 kennel if we are hunting closer to home.
The new handles on the Rufflands are a lot nicer then the old style kennels.

Did a quick google search and this seems to be a scam website. Always double check when ordering ammo online.

Only ramps that are open are high water ramps. We still used the ramps this weekend without docks but was told the river is coming up an inch an hour that was before the 3.5″ inches of rain.

Take deboned breast and thighs wash well. take a cake pan layer with bacon, then dried beef, then pheasant, then dried beef, then bacon. Mix cream of chicken with sour cream layer gravy on top of meat bake at 325 for 4 hours and serve over rice or mashed potatoes. When Grandma makes this people come flocking to town.
Otherwise another way we do it for appetizers is soak in a coke and beer mixture then drain coat it in shorelunch Cajun fry up some pheasant nuggets.

43 ducks for us on opener with mostly teal, mallards, woodies and 2 pintails.
Sunday slowed but also passed on the teal 17 ducks mostly mallards and woodies.
Also won a free speck hunt down in Arkansas Sunday night so looks like waterfowl season will be extended this year for myself and a couple other people in our group.
    Anybody hunt Arkansas?

Ended our early season with 71 birds on and the ground and a ton of jerky given away to farmers. As we were finishing up our final batch of jerky we realized we never had an evening hunt. Anybody hunt evenings? This last sunday resulted in our worst bird numbers with only 3 of us hunting and 8 birds down but we hunted a creek running through pasture ground and had birds maple leafing at about 10 yards trying to get in the decoys. Probably one of the best decoy sets I’ve ever had.
Good luck on duck opener folks seems to be a lot of bigger flocks around this year.

Keep field hunting and wait until you get into a field with 1000+ birds water hunting won’t cross your mind after that.
I did see on Facebook some guy in Minnesota was making conversion stakes for floaters to be used in a field

Federal Red box 2 3/4 inch 5s for early season and as soon as it starts to get cold or we get our first snowfall Federal Red box 3 inch 4s. I typically shoot long range full choke all year as I don’t want to bother with having multiple chokes to keep track of while hunting doves, geese, ducks, and pheasants.

We ended up dove hunting Friday morning had our 2 man limit by noon and ended up scouting hard on Friday night and ended up deciding to head to the field I’d been scouting for 3 weeks.
Saturday morning get a call from a one of the guys hunting saying that there was already headlights in the field. Figured I should go let them know we were planning on hunting the same field turns out couple of boys I knew that had found the field the night before. They ended up with 22 birds, we ended up with 19 and a band. Sunday hunted the same field shot 17 and 2 bands and a possibly quill. Monday ended up in a different field running traffic and shot 5. Adam had a great first time in the blind hunting for geese.

Dove hunting can be some of the best hunting to be had especially if you get into a good field between water hole and roost grounds.
I’ve been craving some dove poppers can’t wait! 8 more days

I’m a huge fan of shredded beef tacos.
Jerky can also be made out of roast.
Another good one is slice roast while semi frozen and lay in crock pot with au jus and make French dips.

I’m in again this year and if we could use the same group as last year that would work out better.

I ended up picking up a new blind and another dozen full body geese at Scheel waterfowl expo.
Anybody tried Mojo Flicka Flock or whatever they are? Seem like a neat concept video show they sure do add some motion to the decoy spread.

First thing I need to do is find a new blind been running a mixture of blinds the last couple years between Scheels and Cabelas brands really liked my Cabelas blind but I think its finally going into semi-retirement this year.

Need to pick up some new Honker floaters and Duck floaters as some buddies some of mine last year on their trip to South Dakota.

Whats everybodys thoughts on running a variety of decoys instead of running mainly mallards. Last year I ran a dozen mallards them a mixture of pintails, blackducks, teal, wigeons, and wood ducks( in the early season).

Good luck to all remember dove opener is less than a month away now.!

Spend a good amount of time research which sealer to get and what bags work well with that sealer.
Before we ended up just spending 500 bucks on a decent one we would go through 1 or 2 “FoodSaver” brand units a year if you’re not planning on using them 4 times a week you should be good.
We have one from Weston Supply but after 3 years now its time for a new one.

I know Peet makes a dual dryer for 2 pairs of boots and a thing for gloves that works well and doesn’t take up much space

What kind of shot are you using to shoot grouse/woodcock?
Bring the over under or stick with the Semi-auto?
