To the OP I am in the home building and remodeling business. And for some reason this all about the dollar. Customers says i can get it done cheaper. My repose is I use middle grade products with good quality Labor. Also i will ask how many bids are you getting and if more than three i will not waste my time on bidding it out. Because these customers are looking for the cheapest price and person and in the long run will be hard to satisfy them.

I have a saying If I can not make money on a job, i might as will go fishing. because if i go fishing i will lose $2.50 (the cost of worms). If i under cut or bid to low it could go into the thousands.

i go up right after the opener for the last 10 years. the last couple of years it has been hard to find walleyes. the perch fishing has been that great either. but that why it called fishing and not catching.

I have a question. let say they decontaminate your boat and take a little paint off. Who is going to pay for that. I will bet it will not be the DNR.

Hmmm, quick detach winch or winch post… Or quick detach boat eyelet..

I can engineer something up quick.

Absolutely AIS is a trogan horse.

Something like this I would have a boat on a slip in the summer and I’ll guess they’re not worried about AIS in the winter months.

    Bologna!

I like this just crank out the winch about a foot or so and put another hook on that way zip tie never broken. LMAO

my 80 Ulterra did this a couple of times gave it a push to get started after it worn in it was fine. It also could be the amp draw on the trim motor, may need to take it to authorized dealer to have them look at it.

AIS law are an excuse for the warden to give you a ticket. AIS law should have been started 30 years ago when the zebra mussel hit the upper Mississippi

An outside of the box answer, but this is why we purchased a camper. Hard to find dog friendly resorts, but the are always welcome in our fifth wheel. Depending on your state you can tow boat behind 5th wheel.

We do the same thing. there is a ton of campgrounds (that are not privately owned) and 9 times out of ten we have the campground to ourselves.

Curious, is the day coming when during duck season as duck hunters were gonna have our decoys inspected one by one??

Are they gonna de-contaminate each decoy line before and after? hah

What about your dog. will he be de-contmantited or will he get a fine and have to to to the pound. As he talks to the other dogs (that are in the pound) what are you in for? spreading AIS! LMAO

As far as i am concerned the DNR both Minnesota and Wisconsin drop the ball on AIS. Zebra mussels and milfiol have for over 20 years. the time to start AIS inspections was then. now it is like putting the horse behind the cart. It is inevitable that all lake a going to infected it is just a matter of time.

I am so tried of the weed police that if they are at the landing i am going to i just go to a different landing

i have done this on certain occasion. First that boat ramp can not be busy. Second no or very little wind. Third need to turn unit on at house so gps has time to acquire. Fourth go slow just enough to get boat off trailer than use spot lock to hold there. Tested the remote easily 300 foot range. but at that distance is hard to see which way unit is going.

For all you stoneagers (sort of like teenagers only different) who are worried about laminating, etc., here’s a tip: 1) Save the license as a PDF document. 2) Open a dropbox account. 3) Save the PDF there. 4) Download the dropbox app on your phone. 5) Make the document a favorite and you won’t even need a network connection to access it. If you own an iphone, you can save the license to your ibooks app and always have access to it there. This way if your piece of paper gets ruined, you can show the “backup” license to the CO on your phone.

So tell me how that works with a kill Tag! portable printer, secure cell phone to deer, LOL

I’m sure that if they’re planning plain paper boat tags that will work SOOOOOOOOO well too

consider: do we need boat tags?
since the C.O. can put your license number in his tablet and know your renewal status immediately, what’s the point of a boat tag? get rid of the ugly color squares on our boats!

So if this is the case the CO will know from you boat number, that you have fishing, hunting license and all the stamps. IMHO That would be great. In the last 14 months I have been check by the local CO 7 times. After awhile it gets tiring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
