I looking for an alignment shop to align my boat trailer preferably in western Wi. I’m getting inside tire wear on both tires and replacing tires every season. Thanks

Just curious. Are you having any bearing issues?

My last boat trailer has ongoing bearing issues on one side. Almost every year I’d have a failure on a long trip. I was suspicious that there was some kind of trailer alignment problem.

I had this on my old boat trailer as well.

Can I ask what make and model and what year is the trailer?

I was told by the guys at discount tire when I got new ones put on is it looks like the trailer is over loaded and the tires are not handling it well. However they put on some good carlisle tires and I didn’t have a problem since so who knows.

Sounds like a weight issue to me too.

My trailer is a 1998 Shorelander, single axle 3100lb.
Whenever I buy new tires I have the trailer aligned by Kremer Services:

Could possibly be a bent axle as well.

If you have a torsion axle they can’t be straightened. Hopefully you have leaf springs.

Actually torsion axles can be straightened. I had mine done last year at OK tire in Fargo Nd. What a difference it made. Best $60 I ever spent. Put new radials on it and after about 2000 mi I can’t see any wear. Well worth the time and money

Just curious….A few years ago I replaced the axis on my old Spartan trailer. We carefully measured the distance between the tip of the hitch coupler and the ends of the axle, making sure it was the same on both sides. I haven’t seen any unusual wear on the tires and the trailer backs up and handles correctly.

Other than what we did, what else is done with a trailer alignment?

Where was the axle bent? Mine was bent on the end from a bearing failure, and I was told by 3 different places that it couldn’t be fixed.
