Just curious. Are you having any bearing issues?
My last boat trailer has ongoing bearing issues on one side. Almost every year I’d have a failure on a long trip. I was suspicious that there was some kind of trailer alignment problem.
February 21, 2017 at 10:36 am #1675732I had this on my old boat trailer as well.
Can I ask what make and model and what year is the trailer?
I was told by the guys at discount tire when I got new ones put on is it looks like the trailer is over loaded and the tires are not handling it well. However they put on some good carlisle tires and I didn’t have a problem since so who knows.

Actually torsion axles can be straightened. I had mine done last year at OK tire in Fargo Nd. What a difference it made. Best $60 I ever spent. Put new radials on it and after about 2000 mi I can’t see any wear. Well worth the time and money

February 22, 2017 at 5:50 am #1675948Just curious….A few years ago I replaced the axis on my old Spartan trailer. We carefully measured the distance between the tip of the hitch coupler and the ends of the axle, making sure it was the same on both sides. I haven’t seen any unusual wear on the tires and the trailer backs up and handles correctly.
Other than what we did, what else is done with a trailer alignment?
