Who are these players that H-town has recruited? I lived there for ten years, every player on that team today went to kindergarten in H-town with my son, so when did they “recruit” them? Look at all of the high end players over the past decade (Pionk x2, Biondi, Samberg, Koepke, Sandelin, Thomas, Aamodt, Jacques, Francisco, Kero, Plante x2, Kohanski, Hansen, etc, etc.), they all were born there, grew up there, and most of the families of the past players still live there. So who are you talking about? Maybe educate yourself before embarrassing yourself.

Stop being so sensitive, man starting to think Hermantown fans are more sensitive than Edina. I’m not saying Hermantown doesn’t develop home grown talent because they absolutely do but they also get an influx of kids from the surrounding schools. It’s been discussed ad nauseum for years. This does not happen for most of the other A teams. That’s my point.

It just gets old hearing the same old baseless BS year after year with no evidence ever offered. That is, unless you have some names as examples? Our society has become so weak that it’s easier to call someone a cheater than do what it takes to achieve their level.

So should all MN athletes go to the U of M because they live here?

Absolutely not but schools that actively recruit is another thing. Edina may not do it as much but they’re in the same tier as hill Murray to me in AA. Hermantown plucks players from other cities like crazy. I put more value in teams where they are all their own kids. That’s how you build programs.

FBR, you should write a book of all the tips and tricks you know. They’re usually interesting and it’s nice they have all been field tested! If you ever do, I’ll buy the first copy!

I love reading your repair stories, IB1, but I’m grateful that I’m not picking up the bills! That said, I’m sure I’m saving tons buying a new boat every 3 – 4 years….

The thing about statistics is you can use them to tell all sorts of narratives. We all agree racism exists in America right? Well 67% of cops are white. Using the same logic you applied in your argument rjthehunter one could conclude that racism against people of color is more likely to exist in the policemans workforce than it would be in a more diverse workforce.

The alarming aspect to this “logic” is the only condition used to postulate racism is that the cops are white. Is it POSSIBLE that none of the white cops are racist? Or are they, in some proportion, inherently racist because they’re white? That seems incredibly simplistic. Should I assume you’re racist since you’re white? I would hope we’re all a little more advanced than that. Does racism exist? Certainly… across all races to some extent. Does discrimination against the elderly, overweight people, women, etc., etc. exist? Sure, but to prescribe prejudice to a group based on a single, inate attribute is prejudice in itself.

I have a 365 and really like it. I have about 1500 rounds through it with no issues. It is very accurate, but has some recoil since it’s very light, which I’m guessing is the same with the HC.

    James/PJ,
How did you find this obscure bite? There’s endless water out there so it seems like some local intel would be necessary, but I think it’s even too far for Marcus to have a bead on. Just wondering as there doesn’t seem to be a lot news coming out of that area, especially for crappies.

We heard rumors of this bite 2 – 3 years ago from a friend that had never fished it… that had heard a rumor of this bite from another friend prior to sharing it with us. So, second hand info two-people removed shared with us during a day of fishing on a different body of water hundreds of miles away. Prior to shooting the show we didn’t know anyone that had fished it themselves. The final bit of legwork was PJ was in the area the week prior with friends on a hunting trip… he had basic ice gear along… a quick check of the lake… BINGO. Big pies in shallow water!

That’s cool! Thanks for the response.

“Face mask compliance in the cleaning house very poor.“

Alcohol consumption and some pretty rough language also witnessed. Definitely not a place for the fragile.

Also remember that DICKS is depriving anyone between the age of 18 to 21 their right to purchase ANY firearm…

This is pretty thinly veiled as their Field and Stream stores that are connected (don’t even have to go outside to go between the stores) are chock full of guns. Maybe they’re not sold under the ‘Dick’s’ name, but are definitely available at Dick’s stores.

I didn’t start the thread. Only had a opinion on it, kinda like you.

But it’s great to know your opinion has more value then anybody else’s, well at least mine anyway.

On various occasions you have challenged the dominance of Hermantown hockey, so your opinions are definitely questionable.

Thanks for sharing this, Sharon. It should inspire each of us to stop and appreciate what we have. I think we all get caught up in a lot of things that are mostly meaningless and posts like this help bring back perspective. I don’t hold the secrets to finding peace and comfort in situations like these, but I hope things get better for you.

I would only contribute to an IRA if already maxing out your 401k ($19500). The employer match and tax benefits typically make it the best option. Beyond that, even if you exceed the income limits, there is still an option that allows you to contribute to a conventional IRA then do a rollover into a Roth. It’s only $6k per year, but I do it for both my wife and I, so just a little something extra.

Is there a middle ground between hating all cops and full blind support? Maybe thinking that the system needs some reform and that maybe they shouldn’t pal around with armed militia (who were also breaking curfew by the way).
So if you think there are some issues in law enforcement that need to be examined and addressed you automatically hate all cops and aren’t allowed to need them if you’re in trouble? What a fascinating either/or world you live in.

Do I think destroying property is ok? No

Do I think our country has issues in law enforcement and criminal justice? Yes.

If you occupy the ‘middle ground’, possibly you should illustrate that to us sometime.

Reports now are that the shooter was a 17 year old from Illinois that travelled to the area

And here is a fun video of police thanking the armed militia and giving them some water before the young man shot 3 people

    <div class=”ido-oembed-wrap”><iframe title=”POLICE IN KENOSHA WISCONSIN GIVE GUNMAN AND ARMED MILITIA WATER PRIOR TO SHOOTING” width=”850″ height=”478″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/hUms8nc_r2w?feature=oembed&#8221; frameborder=”0″ allow=”accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture” allowfullscreen=””></iframe></div>

Given your open disdain for law enforcement, I certainly hope you have devices to draw upon if trouble ever knocks (since I’m certain you’ll never lower yourself to requesting their services). You believe your pseudo compassion protects you from these elements, but I hope you never have to discover you’re just another opportunity to those for whom you shed your crocodile tears.
