Last spring when people were using the slow death hooks and having some luck.We were knocking them dead with Macks slow smiling death rig I think the smile blade made the difference.I made a lot of them my self this winter cant wait try them out.

The only time I use them is when the bait shop is out of minnows.I have a bottle in my clam just in case.

Up there this weekend 6 to 8″ of ice but the bite was slow.

I got no replies so I decided to go up and have a look for my self on Saturday fished from 7:00 to 1:00 and got 20 keepers 9″ to 11″. I never saw any big schools just 5 here and there had to do a lot of looking to find them.

Went out on the 29th on buffalo run got 20 9″ perch 20 FOW bring the camera! 5″ of ice them could be less now.

Wading the island or from a boat?

They need to put a slot in on that lake all they do is keep 17- 22” fish. I think that the way they have it now is wrong. It could be the strong yellow population too they eat every thing in sight walleye eggs and fry.

The best bite has been 9 to 12 but you need a camera they are just sucking on the bait.

Thats where we got’em just befor ice up.

Went out today the only spot I would trust is anglers bay 4-5 inches of ice with the same size perch 4-5 inches. went about 100 yards out by buffalo run and it was 2 inches but it should be fine after it gets down to -15 the next two days

I went for perch on Wed. It was a little slow.Fished from 7 tell 12 and got 20 nice ones 20FOW. same spot as last winter.

We went sat. and sun. had to have a 10′ board to get on but the ice was a good 12″. my dad and I took 50 home by 11:00 both days. 9 to 10 inchers best luck we have hardly any sorting

I went out wen and thu There is still a good 18″. the shore is the only thing that is bad. I went out on my 4 wheeler By the way the pearch are going nuts!

went out sat. morning got 50 took home 20 9″ and 4 over 10 fish Just slaming the bait. went back sun. had to use the fish TV took home 15. 19 to 20 foot of water got there at 7 left at 11:30
