Fished the lake last wed. and caught several small eyes on the west end by the grade. The yellows were biting good by billies on the east end. Have not heard to much success on walleye this spring yet.
alot of little ones 12 to 14″ on a blue plug,8FOW Going back on Friday
They haven’t been knocken em dead, but I hear the night bite is alright. THose are the only over 20″s Ive heard of all year. If I was looking for eyes I think I’de either troll or cast the weed edges and maybe reefs right at and after dark. The lake is super clear so far this year so the day time bite is a bit off.
Wednesday and Thursday evening and Saturday morning I did real well pulling #7 shad raps at 2.5-2.8mph. Hot steel was by far the best color. 10-11 fow seemed to be the key with this presentation. Only fished a couple hours each time out and caught 39 walleyes with 8 being of legal size.
How’s the bite now?
I’ve been catching some pulling bottom bouncers with night crawler harness and gulp leaches. 1.5 – 1.8 mph
Has anyone been doing well wading off the island or shore around the lake?
hit the eastside this weekend .. the wife and i were out Friday night and yesterday .. caught some yellow bass, walleye, and 1 catfish .. catfish didnt get in the boat tho .. wife caught it but it spit the rig at us boatside .. good time all around .. boat traffic wasnt too bad on eastside either ..
