Flew from Chicago to DC, went on a few tours of Smithsonian, Senate buildings, capitol. Accidentally wandered around Homeland Security for half an hour because their office was connected to the hotel conference center, flew home, found multiple random rounds in a pocket in my backpack while unpacking.

Yeah I agree with the acrylic and using an airbrush. The airbrush kit is about 90$ at harbor freight so not to expensive to start, the paints add up, and Diamond plate is 45$ a pint so thats really pricey. I painted about a dozen lures before finally buying the clearcoat. It lives in its own special hermetically sealed zone in my shop. Blanks are only about a buck a piece. for 200$ you can do a few dozen lures in a few different patterns. Not including hooks and split rings.

I’m interested in painting lures. Can I use vinyl paint on a crankbait and put a clear coat over it? I would want to start with just using a paint brush before spending a bunch of money.

Big-G I have a degree in political science, public administration. I did get a couple small scholarships that helped but the actual price per credit at the time was about 80$ at the Community College and 140 at the University. Last year my University was charging 180$ a credit, a full semester of 5 classes would be 2700. Until the fees kick in. Parking at the University I was at was 350$ per semester. Bus passes were free. My job doesn’t require a 4 year degree but I was bored at the time. It does help keep me aware of what kind of BS I have to look forward to after every legislative session though. I’m pretty sure I could make more being Bearcats shop boy too.

Im not sure why everyone blames college. I got a four year degree in the field I’m in for 17,000$ total. This wasnt back in the 90’s or anything either, this was 7 years ago. My classmates were living on campus with meal plans. The exact same degree I got they paid 65,000$ for. And it was entirely their parents fault because the parents income, healthcare, and decisions are what created that bill. I regularly advised kids to emancipate from their parents. The government caught on to that though. Tell your kids to go to PSEO, and community college for the first two years and their bill wont be much different than mine. If you want to go to tech school, guess what that’s called a college too.

They dont need to read it BigWerm. It clearly states that if you don’t pledge to admonish the Loch Ness monster for his anti-semetic remarks made while he/she was a Nazi sympathizer then you will be forced to accept the judgement and punishment of Gozer the Gozerian.

My friend who isn’t the most regular lawn mower has had issues with hers. The first time out she overheated a battery to the point it died. They replaced that battery but if you want to let your lawn get thick and long then I wouldnt do it. Seems best for people that can keep their grass short all the time.

There’s a few things with the IHRA definition that causes me some concern but otherwise its fairly reasonable. The bill that passed the house is fairly simple, wish they would use that formula more in the future.

Yeah them kids are so bad today. Thank god we have someone like Rick Monday nowadays to keep people from doing stupid stuff, unlike the stuff they did in the 70’s.

You need to get into the mind of the pike. It’s angry, hungry, and sometimes horny. Focus on the first two. Baits that will urine them off, and baits that they think they can eat. I would start with some stick baits like a husky jerk. Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits are pretty effective.

This is not a daycare this is a university is a quote that has been used since at least 1993. Most famously in a paper written by Everett Piper where he calls everyone a snowflake. It is also used as “This is a prison not a daycare” quite often. At some point maybe it is just a daycare. I just learned all this trying to figure out if it was that Youtube famous cop that is always saying crazy poop that said it. Seeing how easy it is for media to use the same catch phrase over decades to get attention makes me think them fancy new shiny hats aren’t looking so bad.

We maybe watched the same video to get the Tequilla Sunrise pattern? I chased the blue down the sides a hair further than the video’s, but like the video’s end result better. Next time.

Yeah probably same video I was watching it and looking at my paints on the table in front of me and I was like hey I have most of those colors in the galaxy dust and need to practice with those paints. Ended up with about 6 different lures some with better results than others. The little whopper plopper I did is the one I’m most excited about. This is my first year painting lures.

I just did some of these too. I used the hypershift colors that go from pink, purple, violet, to gold so it changes from tequila sunrise to green/gold. I was pretty pumped with the results cuz they look alot like yours and I agree that the smallies will love em.

And you sir are wrong. This section isn’t about “state lands” its about “State Forests” and throughout that specific part of the regs it divides out all the different types of state lands including things like WIA, Refuges, and Forests, but does not mention tax forfeiture land at all. Remember words matter read them ALL and not just take them out of context.

Tax forfeiture lands are owned in trust by the State of MN and allocated to the local government to administer them as they see fit. The rules on how a local government can use them is 53 pages long. I doubt anything I said will convince people to read those rules or discontinue their dumbassery.

I’ve got a blue one and a white one from Z-man of the biggest sizes I could find. I got them specifically for catching pike in shallow ponds/bays. When the bass wont stop hitting it I just add bigger and bigger trailers.

I don’t even hunt and it took less than three minutes to learn that tax forfeited land rules vary county to county. Of the three county sites I actually checked none of them allowed permanent blinds. But hey keep going at it, my microwave just dinged, popcorns ready.

I’ve seen quite a few pheasants this year so far. Not sure its any more than normal or if I’m just out earlier than normal. It does seeem strange that the ditches are being mowed here already. The ticks are terrible though. I walked down a shoreline in the water fishing my way down. Came home pulled 5 ticks off. 5 days later I moved my boots in my truck and two more of the little buggers were on me.

Wow so agro in here. When I was kid the old timers would get together every couple of years to blast a beaver dam on the river. The DNR would park on the bridge nearby and look the other way as these guys would take old dynamite out of their sheds and blow the dam. I always avoided those sheds wondering just how much old leaky dynamite was still stored in there. I’m surprised the DNR could even get dynamite anymore, I figured once them old timers were gone the days of blasting would be over.

Use Google maps in satellite view, and look for bare dirt areas along roads by lakes in your area that look trampled down.

Not an expert (this statement required by law) but most trailers under 3000 pounds gross are lifetime untitled. Unless they had a lien against the trailer. Boats over 16 feet in MN are required to have a title. Some really old boats may not have a title. Best way to check a boat is look at the reg on the boat in the upper right hand corner it will say titled, or Non-titled. Remind your DMV worker that your putting a lien on the trailer, its easy to forget. No sales tax is charged in private boat transfers so pick a price for the trailer you will pay sales tax on that. I usually recommend like 10% of the package price but that’s on you. The untitled trailer can be transferred with a generic bill of sale from the registered owner. If the current owner did not register it in their own name knock off 30$ for the hassle of registering it as home-ade. A bill of sale for the DNR (untitled boats) does not have to be from the registered owner it can be from anyone. Anoka county has a good premade bill of sale on their website. I borrow it daily.

When all the media and guides strictly talk about the wonderful fishing and tourism opportunities for the area they are fishing, instead of politics and the governors political agenda then maybe there will be a place to admonish the people. Last time he was up here all the normal tourists went elsewhere and the only people around where media. And media don’t spend money. And he left early so a complete waste of time and space basically.

They shouldn’t even have wasted their money on the drones and missiles. The economic effect from threatening Israel did more damage. Regional planes and commercial vessels were avoiding the area after the first three round of threats.

MN is a no fault state. All insurance claims are first made to your own insurance. An increase in fees has nothing to do with the other driver. Your own knowledge of what your insurance covers and adjusts because of is all the information you will ever need.

2 of my last 3 dogs came from the Humane Society. The last one I went in and they made me verbally promise not to let him get fat. My first adoption was a big rottie that may have a gotten a little fat. He had hip displasia. My current dog is some kind of pitbull boxer thingy (no fancy name) and as hes getting older he may be getting a bit chunky now. Both dogs mutts, but But both have been great dogs.

Go onto WI DNR site and act like your going to renew it using the reg numbers. All the current reg info including description and legal owners should come up.

Go to even one English as a second language class and you will quickly realize how inept at grammar and speech the average American is.
