I have a similar situation in that I have the same boat 2007 model and am looking for the same information. I’m trying to determine if I should keep some of my current electronics and electric trolling motor.

    For everyone on the chat:

What type of electronics do you use?
Which electric trolling motor and size? Does it work well for the 1775?
Anything else you would like to share?

Has there been many boats down there during the week? I’d like to make trip down, but don’t want to play bumper boats.

    It was funny though.

I took my daughter fishing last summer and we spent several hours in my boat. When we got back my wife asked her what did the two of you talk about? My daughter “Nothing” we were fishing. One of my favorite fishing buddies as neither of us talk much while fishing. We are both pretty serious about it. -)

Alone, but not always by choice. I tend to move a lot and cut a lot of holes unless I find them in one spot.

Just drove one nice and deep this past weekend. Past the barb. I’m now seriously considering it for all my hooks. I pulled it out the old fashioned way. Just yanked it out. My wife was with but didn’t see. I sure wish I dared to let loose with a few well chosen words.

My brother in-law has one and I have forgotten (twice) to shut the motor off after power loading because it was so quiet. He had a few problem with hole shot, but a prop change made a huge difference.

I couldn’t help but smile at the initial picture. How could you not like that pup.

Explain the reverse sear and OMG I gotta do one of these again, but for two people it is a bit much.

Farther north (northwestern WI) we (at least I’m) doing very well. The hot and then cold weather has them going shallow and then deeper. They are not yet ready to spawn, but they are actively chasing small bluegills in the evening. Drifting to the swirling bluegills with bobbers, light jigs, and minnows is the ticket.

I’m a Wisconsinite and I will be hitting the Chippewa Flowage more for the comradery than the catching,. But who knows… we may even catch a few marble-eyes.

By the way the crappies are going nutz.

On Big Blake today. At least 5 inches of solid blue ice and anywhere from 1 to 4 inches of frozen slush/snow ice from the rain. The fishing has been a little slow.

And that made me smile and it was and would be very effective marketing. Seriously I need snorkeling equipment in the near future. Which company?

The Croix or Mississippi and then some. To hit them more often than last year and to catch and release at least one 28+ from any one of them.

I’m thinking of upgrading as well to a 10 inch screen. I’m assuming these units have internal gps antennae. Has anyone seen issues with their speed in picking up signals? Any additional thoughts from those running the unit? Are they pretty easy to set up?

Since it is usually my wife and I, we tend to have a lot left over so we food saver and freeze it. It’s almost as good as fresh out of the smoker and it is very convenient. It really saves well, but never stays in the freezer long.

A few years ago my old man and I went to the northwest sports show on the last day. Didn’t bother paying $5 to fish. My old man being a sales guy talked to the owner and for $20 we walked away with 12 or so trout in a bag. Now that was a feast.

Never thought of that one. I wonder if it will still work?

So you don’t get caught, when you pick up the pole, reach in your pocket, squish a waxie with you index finger and thumb, rub the scent on the fly, and enjoy.
