I’m looking for a pellet grill. What did you go with? I’ve been leaning towards the new Camp Chef as I like the option to smoke and grill.

Will a boat be able to cross into Canada to fish if staying on US side at Rainy Lake? Assuming we have license & RABC? We have been doing this for many years.

July 19, 2016 at 9:25 am #1629765I watch fishing shows for education as well as where to go. I would like to see more on how you choose a location, boat speed, depth, presentation, etc. TV shows always show great catching. I want to know more about the equipment and why it is used for each outing.
I also liked the show last spring shore fishing walleyes in your waiters in NE WI. Walleye & Crappies are my main interest. I fish mostly on the river (Mississipi) so any shows there are of big interest. Any thought of doing a couple of show with Granrud on Rainy again?
Keep up the good work!January 19, 2015 at 4:43 pm #1499556I use camp dry or other silicone sprays one can get a fleet farm by the boot water proofing materials. I use it to spray my pants before the Pheasant hunting trip to ND as the fields are usually damp in mornings. This year however we had pooring rain for 5 hours and my pants were dry! I do this every year about a week before the season. Make sure you are oustdoors as ventilation is needed.

July 23, 2014 at 8:51 am #1441640If you have a smartphone or tablet, consider a video monitor that lets you watch from anywhere (home, neighbors, work, etc). Mosy of the cameras are HD quality with 2 way sound. We got one at Verizon and now have it set up in the house to monitor other items as well. Fatherhood is awesone!

One can also get your license in advance online through the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. First timers will also need an Outdoors card. All pretty easy to do in advance of your trip.November 4, 2013 at 12:43 pm #1203703I mounted one of these in the boat. It’s a 5 row counter. Works great for keeping up with fishing bets on the water.

November 3, 2013 at 2:04 pm #1203584Get a Lifeproof Case! They are awesome, expensive $89, slim, and do the job. Currently only made for Samsung S3, S4 and All IPhones and IPads. My kids are life guards and used them all summer taking pictures underwater in the pool.

April 2, 2013 at 10:16 pm #1158630Bruce, my parents, age 72 & 73 decided to get hearing aids for themselves at Christmas. My siblings and I were having my doubts about mom and dad as we know they are starting to age and fears of dementia starting to settle in. They would always ask the same questions over and over as well as not being tuned into most conversations.
They spent $4500 each on Audibel hearing aids with remotes and are so happy. It has been a major improvement for them. Mom has said over and over that they waited too long and now rarely miss a thing! I know they are expensive but well worth it. My 2 cents.March 12, 2013 at 5:21 pm #1151252Great wife!
