Just got back from Kabetogama and the <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>walleye fishing was very good as long as the wind was blowing, lots of 20″+ fish. No giants but a lot of fun. Did not try smallmouth fishing but seemed more people fishing smallmouth than walleyes and the guys I talked to said they were doing well. Did catch one day about 15 SM trying for <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>walleyes but they were all not very big. Beautiful lake lots of resorts.

I will check out Kab as well. Good hear you caught plenty over 20”.

Yeah, after further research looks like the name is American Green Tree Frog. I didn’t see it listed as in the frogs of Iowa page.

I cleaned them up already. They made nice little fillets. They are for sure yellow bass. Clear Lake here in Iowa is full of them! I didn’t see a big blood line though…

Thanks for the info. I like the price of the 5 better but I’m sure I would like the 7 more. I might have to go play with one at a store in demo mode.

My neighbor has one and the images seem very sharp/clear. He has the 7″ model.

I have a 1675 Impact with a 90hp Merc. Plenty of Power. I have had it fully loaded with gear and four men all over 200-250 and got it up to 42 mph. You will really like the combo! Congrats on the boat

$70 is pretty pricey.. is it just a regular cotton sweatshirt?

I haven’t narrowed down a certain Lodge. Why do you recommend that one?

I thought I would send an update on my repair. I put the new piece on this afternoon. Super easy process. As good as new.
I might buy a few replacement pieces and have at the house just in case.

Im hopefully it was a defect. Honestly this past weekend is probably the most extreme conditions I will have it in. It was probably below zero with wind chill and over 2 feet off ice. I’m happy with how they took care of the issue and I am looking forward to using it!

I just got off the phone with K-Drill. They are shipping a new part out. Good customer service.

    The story…
I was on about 25″ of ice. I was drilling my second hole. I was about an inch or two done and one of the first pieces broke off. I was a little shocked and disappointed. I am happy with there service and hopeful it was a fluke.

I was asking if anyone had thoughts of the outcome… right now it’s not an issue. But an expensive auger broke during the first use. I’m sure a lot of guys on here have them, and they do. Guys chimed in saying they have never had any issue which is awesome. K-Drill seems like a great product and I was not bashing them. I get poop happens and I could have gotten a bad one.

From what I have seen on videos and read on reviews, it looks like a good buy.
