    Ok,
    I’m looking for a possible 2-3 day ice fishing trip for next season. Due to work December is out of the question, so probably looking st late January, February or early March. I live in central Iowa, and I am wanting to keep it at. 5-6 hour drive tops. any ideas for lakes to fish and towns nearby to stay? Probably would have 2-4 guys. Perch, Walleye would be the fish of choice.

    Perch? Onalaska fits the bill – plenty of places to stay and lots of different spots in the LaCrosse area to get into some nice fish. Winnibigoshish would also be a good fit for perch/walleye with several resorts and plowed ice roads.

    March rainy river. Might be a hour past your drive. But well worth it.
