Well, I’m working on fabricating a lift up platform for my units.
Here are a couple photos. I think it will work but I have one snag and not sure how to solve it.
Looking for some kind of latch that would hold the horizontal portion from folding down. Any ideas or suggestions ?
    Thanks

Thanks to both of you for posting your photos of your trays. That make sense to me. Pretty simple setup. I’m sure I can fabricate some kind of pull out tray after seeing how they did theirs.

    Thanks again

    I have a two HDS 9 gen3
I see that Lund has the pull up and out tray that you mount your units too..then it folds back down and under the console. I wonder what kind of hinge or folding arm devices they use on that ?

I am guessing the interference is getting caused by the motor. The transducer is 20″ away from the motor but sitting pretty high on the transom. I cant mount the total scan on the starboard side because that’s where my kicker is.

I have an idea what’s causing this interference on the right side from boat to bottom but thought I would ask anyway. This is not a good photo but I think it will get the point across. Side Scan..
Ideas…suggestions ? More information would probably be helpful now that I think about it. I will update after work.

Thanks jon, mine does have the plastic mount. I will look at getting that sturdy mount.
looks like if I use the lms transducer I would have to change the transducer choice on the hds unit. I think I will just keep the lms for depth while running and just use the hds unit for down and side imaging.

So can I keep the totalscan transducer a little higher that the bottom of the boat so it doesn’t take a beating while running, but has good position while moving slowly.

Yes, this will be an addition to the HDS I purchased. I’ll look for a nice HDS7. I should probably look at Gen2 or 3 right ?
    Thanks

I have right side brake light again !!

    Turn Signal Flasher Module

I had read one post online some place, that a guy had the same problem with his. So I took mine out and cleaned it but that didn’t work. Mechanic said it was bad so they replaced it. Works now.

I am going to start replacing fuses even if they look good. I only see two fuse locations..
Left side by drivers door…that’s the one with four fuses…as you mentioned

And I don’t see any trailer fuses under the hood fuse location.
    2003 Silverado 1500

Its going to my mechanic Friday…I’m at a loss here.

    Thanks

Located the tail light circuit board by the spare tire. Replaced it and still….no brake…
So its in front of that.

Trailer is fine. Hooked up to different vehicle and worked. So it’s the truck.
No voltage to green wire at the plug. I have checked fuses in the dash. I didn’t see any trailer fuses under the hood. I’m digging a little deeper this afternoon. I will look for the block Randy mentioned. And check all plugs on the harness in the area.

    Bulbs are incandescent

I have checked all fuses in the truck and everything looks good.
I have also switched bulbs from left to right and the same bulb works on the left side. The same bulb even works with the flashers on , both sides .

Everything works on the truck as far as lights go.

I will check the truck plug….but its brand new as of tonight.
I will also see if I can change the socket in the right trailer light.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I wish I hade a dozen shallow SR5 in this color. I did stock up with the regular ones. And have a couple from Fleet Farm. I have used these for quite a few years and I haven’t had any issues with the finish. Seems durable to me. I like it when they get all those teeth marks…you know there good ones.

I would have to take my boat apart to replace the carpet that most likely is glued down pretty good to the plywood. I am not going to tear my boat apart just to get a vinyl floor. Clean the carpet good an move on.

Vacation was good. Had fun !! Fishing wasn’t that great. Water was warm, lots of pressure around those lakes. Hackensack area. Did go on leech with a guide and struggled to get our limit of walleye. Did do some LM Bass fishing and caught some nice ones. I need to find a local fisherman in that area that might help me with my fishing/catching success.

Thought I would update our route choice and experience.
We went West at Owatonna on 14 over to New Ulm ( well we didn’t get to New Ulm ) my co-pilot took us on a zig zag route over to 15 north which was a little slow but….over all I thought it was a good change of pace from the interstates and it was enjoyable. Didn’t really take that much longer and a pleasant drive. We stopped for lunch anyway. Would probably take that route again for sure.
We took a completely different route home so we saw a lot of Minnesota this trip.

Well…time is getting closer and I’d like to get a route picked. I talked to Sheldon and they took I90 west out of Albert lea over to Fairmont and north on 15 up to St Cloud and then on from there. Sheldon said it was a good route and enjoyed it more that the city’s route.

I have also looked at taking Hwy14 west out of Owatonna over to New Ulm and north on 15.

    So my question would be…..

Take I90 west out or Albert Lea ?
    or
Take Hwy14 west out of Owatonna ?

    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks

Thanks for all the advise fellas. I have a few weeks to pick a route. We’ll be on the road early Sat am so hopefully that helps. Driving through the city’s isn’t my favorite thing to do. We’ve had some good trips and some trying ones but always make it through.

I made it a point to try them all on before I bought one. I liked the way the Onyx fit me. I can wear it all day with no discomfort. I would suggest you try them on to see how each one fits You..it has to be comfortable to wear all day.

Well..I agree with all the comments made here. I have never been one to keep Large fish. I have non on my wall and probably never will. I like to keep some fish to eat (pan fish and walleye) just like most here….but to kill these Larger fish it won’t be me doing it. I was just wondering what the survivable rate would be for large fish that fight hard and then let go…but when their released they at least have a chance but when taken home they have No chance. I respect the larger fish also and feel they are rare.
I have looked at a lot of old photos of fisherman on Leech and seen all the Large northern and muskies that they slaughtered years ago and its sickening.
    Thanks for all the comments
