I fly a flag in the back of my truck every year and always have one on the house.
August 28, 2009 at 7:40 pm #801207Found a hive today while mowing around the fire pit. Got me 6 times before I realized what was going on Hope the neighbors didn’t see me running for the hills Kicker is I’ve got a bunch of friends coming over for a bonfire tonight. Guess it’s just going to be ladder ball, bean bags and beer tonight

Tony, I forgot one more important ingredient…
Take your mother along.
Yea I was thinking if I got Jennie and Maggie in the boat at least I would get to net a bunch of sturgeon
I am looking forward to it this year. Sounds like we are going to get a cool snap in the weather, maybe that will help the bite pick up earlier this year
August 27, 2009 at 8:35 pm #800960If that’s not incentive to get over there, I don’t know what is
Thanks BK

Seriously Brian? I got your White Tomato right here.
Have a good Sturgeon season everyone see ya on the water or chat with ya elsewhere.
Black Rods and Shovelnose rule….
I’m out.
Nobody told me I needed knee boots to wade thru the crap in this thread
As far as I’m concerned there are no Sturgeon in the St.Croix. Been there a bunch of times in the past few years, with some very good fisherman too, and still don’t have a St. Croix sturg. to my name

With cat fishing…there is no one right way.
This year it’s all been the wrong way for me Great post Brian, I’ve watched alot of big girls come on cut bait the past week or so.
August 13, 2009 at 7:12 pm #797301Jennie and I are in. Stopped at Bob’s today, sounds like someone thinks they got this one in the bag already.
I think “someone” has been has been sailing with Jerry already Here’s to you buddy
Well I gotta go now, time to feed the 60lb’er in my bath tub so he reaches 65 by Sat./Sun.
July 4, 2009 at 3:15 pm #788343Here is double from last night and one more that Jennie got
Jennie’s fish were 28″x17″ for the double and 27″x15″ for the single.
Andy’s half was 24″, we didn’t get a girth on that one.
Jennie has had the big fish in two doubles this year. We had a flathead double early in the year that she beat me on.
Thanks you Andy and Sara for taking us out Next time maybe I could catch a fish too Also congrats to Sara on her first flathead
