looks like multiflora rose. full of thorns that are like hooks.
Its almost worse after it is cut the way it grabs and digs into your flesch. Ranchers used this for fence I heard. Pry have to dig the roots. All over here in sw Wisconsin. Deer don’t even like to go thru it

best time to go is during fawn season. hunting pressure has died down and they have pups to feed. Down here in sw wi it is usually close to first crop hay and morel season. First sit is always the best and don’t call from the same spot. Play the thermals religiously, evening they always go to the lowest spot(ditch, creek bed) game over. If you have a decent shot take it because more than likely u wont get a better one. Don’t b afraid to take a shot when they are on the lope because they seem to never stop moving. I bought nite scope because they pretty much move at nite, u can catch em in daylite but don’t expect a lot of success, but sometimes u can get lucky on a couple sets then go many sets without anything. Try to sit 45 min to hour, they learn that most cant sit still so they take there time. they are curious and will check it out but take there time and love to circle and sit on a hi spot and scan the area. My experience with them talkn back is they rarely come. Kinda like turkeys letn u know where they are and not movn but when they come its silent. Start soft when calling in case one is close then louder from there. Any sound can work on any day have to experiment, I use woodpecker and cat distress and kitten distress. Always change it up and if snow is crunchy don’t waste ur time, if they can hear u comn they are in the next county. Middle of feb to the end is breedn time, best time to have daylite sightings. Don’t b afraid to go calln during middle of day, changing it up instead of early morning and sunset like every1 does that’s why I only hunt at nite, they are a lot braver but they catch on to that too. If you can afford a thermal monocular or scope that is a game changer. Pulsar makes good stuff, see a field mouse at 500yds in pitch black but they catch on to that also. This is the addicting part that an animal is smarter than me in my own woods and I swear they know how to taunt me. there is always the exception to all I put here and throw all this out the window. Buddy hunting helps setting a guy 75 yds down wind abd they like to come in pairs but no always. B prepared to miss a lot and educate em. I usually get around 10 a yr and pry miss 20 or more. just keep changn it up and b4 weather of after it rains for a few days in a row they don’t like muddy feet or getn wet if they can help it. good luck

Best indestructable siding. A few things i have picked up on over the years is we use flashing cards on the butte joints(obviously it overlaps the piece below so water rolls off). Make your butte joints on studs and use random patterns( vs patterns) I think that looks better personally. If you are using 8″ the pieces are actually 7 7/8 so snap lines at 6 7/8 off of the top of the first row. Let me go back. First row should be 1″ over foundation so but tape on top of foundation mark 6 7/8 snap line then mark rows off top of first row and get lines snapped as high as possible and transfer lines around corner to maintain levelness around house. I actually make a 6-10 ft stick with 6 7/8 marked all the way up and only use that( using a tape is a lot of math and you dont want to make one wrong, done that). make adjustmests on the last 4 rows against soffit because soffit is never continously level around a house so dont reference off that until above line of sight. Other things metal flashing over windows and dont skimp on caulk that is the only thing sealing siding and it really shrinks either a fat bead or caulk it twice. Lastly a 16′ piece expands 3/16 and thats it( supposedly) short pieces 1/8 gap against corners, long runs 3/16 at butte joints and 3/16 at corners is recommended, i like 1/8 at corners. A speed square width is 3/16 use that as a gauge for measuring. Once it swells it is done and not suppose to get any bigger. Few things to keep an eye on. good luck.

not sure who controls the dam but it is like any flowage with a dam, constantly opening and closing it, then when it is stable for a couple days fishing gets better. Then before winter flowages experience big draw downs to handle snow melt in spring. My opinion on why they do it more on weekends is why anyone would sabotage fishing because they don’t want people catchn their fish. they(maybe lake association) know locals fish during the week away from the big weekend crowds so they keep it a little more stable of course this is my thought, I have no proof this is happening but locals told me the story. fish can still be caught anytime obviously. Wi is outfished the average size of all fish gets smaller every year from over harvesting imo.

something to think about if you are doing bigger areas and the ground is a bit rough from tilling my cheap pull behind likes to tip over with those little wheels. Then yoou have a big fert burn area. I’m thinkn of a electric broadcaster for the 4wheeler then I can control the speeds better with the dial. Maybe someone has experience with these. I think it is going to be better but idk. I do 4 acres of broadcasting, if the ground is flat no prob. Maybe look at bigger wheels and wider stance will b more stable. Mine is a hand me down with little wheels and short wheel space more for a yard pry but free. I always hand broadcast the seed, feel I have better control of where it goes.

keep at what you are doin eventually they will bite. From my experience on the lake is if you only fish the weekends fishing is poor because they raise and lower the crap out of the lake on the weekends so nobody catches fish. Try fishing couple days in a row during the week and see if that helps. Fish are in negative moods when they jack with water levels and with all the rain it is pry worse this year. I think they do it on purpose to keep people away because the fishn sucks on the weekends(usually for me). When you get some stable water levels go to places where you catch em and see what happens. Or use what works bait! I haven’t been there in a couple years, don’t think it is any different now. I have noticed when I’m panfishing with artificial, that when my dad puts on bait and contaminates the water my bite slows down significantly, sometimes I have to put bait on to get a bite when that smell gets in the water.

from my experience fishing the river, when the water gets down in the mid 30’s and lower the bluegills get very picky and spooky from boats. The baits have to be small like ice jigs and vertical is the key so fishing with pole and bobber is tough unless you are set up with lite line and pole like ice gear. Also standing on ice presentation is jigged vertical unlike open water. I have used ice gear over the side of the boat in deeper water because you cant detect bites without a spring bobber thst is how lite they bite. crappies wil bite better without ice, long casts.

yes we have a john deere 2 row and it is an organic farm so we don’t spray it. It is lookn real good even with all the rain. Now it is time to get started on fall plots. My brother wants to try sweet peas so I gave him a 1/2 acre spot. I like rape, it does well and they eat the crap out of it once the frost hits. I also had good luck with turnips down here in sw wisc. got rained out today wanted to get cameras out oh well goin to cabelas to use points on trophy rocks.
