Fished Sunday and found a bunch smaller bass in the rocks. Saw a few bigger ones on beds. Too early for the good post spawn bite? Or have the females left already?

Anybody had luck fishing for fall eyes from shore around the Boom Site area?

    Thanks

    Pete

I have caught walleye around the lift bridge. The shoreline by down town Stillwater should be holding a few fish too.

We had a pretty solid day yesterday. Smallies were slower then we expected but the <em class=”ido-tag-em”>walleyes worked well for us.

How were you fishing for the walleyes? We had 54 degree water temps yesterday. Smallies bit ok early then it was dead till 3 pm. Last few hours were good. Only 1 <em class=”ido-tag-em”>walleye rigging big minnows for smallmouth. Boone nabbed 21.25”. Tried trolling after dark for an hour with no action.

They were eating suckers and stick baits. We fished till midnight. Best bite for us was from 7pm to midnight, but we caught fish all day.

    Thanks for the info.

I finally found a better schematic online. The bolt turns counter clockwise to take apart.

Cool, thanks for the replies. Luckily I only ran wire under the front deck a few feet before checking. Unfortunately it was an area I had to fish it through. Back to the fun of boat rigging once I get new wire.

My 50 amp breakers mount right on the batteries.

Hey Mike, are you still using 50 amps? I am working on wiring a xi5 24 volt. I believe I have 8 gauge wire now but not sure. Cant see a number on the wire. Had a power drive with 40 amp circuit breaker but not sure if I need to change the wire or not. Will up grade to 50 amp circuit breaker or 60 most likely. Wiring is in the bow only about 5 feet to plug or less.

Also, is wiring in series necessary or is it feasible to just run a jumper wire?

They also work on lakes for bass, pike walleyes and crappies. Pitching them on jigs and retrieving them slowly above weeds or rocks year round.

There’s good fishing on Chisago? I’ve never been there.

Most lakes in the chisago city area are good panfish and bass lakes. Crowded, but they still keep producing.

Water is cooling nicely. Had 68 Degrees yesterday. Caught 11 walleye and two sheep mostly on crank baits. Biggest two were 24”. Water is low and slow.

I messed with it a little and finally it snapped into place. I think it will be good.

Took a day off from work yesterday to get on the big river. I arrived to the launch and noticed a lot of chocolate colored water and small debris. Fished wing dams and trolled finding 10 walleye and one sauger. Clown seemed to be the hot color for the day and a crawler produced the biggest fish at 26”. I noticed a strong absence of rough fish hitting my crawlers which made me think the bite was off a little due to the dirtier water and increased flow. Only one channel cat boated and no sheepshead.

I was out on a smaller lake over the weekend and the ice was still in good shape (better than I expected). A few crappies bitting too.

    How far north?

Colville should be by now. I was down 3 days ago and just some skim ice near the launch. more towards to docks to the right. the rain yesterday had to of taken care of it. the smaller landing as you come in is good to go. baypoint looked a week or so out, probably ice free by next weekend?

    thank you
