Walleye north of boomsite in late fall?

Heading out walleye fishing tomorrow on the Croix. Winds look to be stiff straight out of the South 15mph with gusts up to 25. Worst possible direction. Was going to fish around Hudson, but will likely head north to try to get out of the wind. Anyone fish walters in the north arm of the Croix north of the boomsite this time of year? Do they stage upstream or are they all down south where the shad are?

Anybody had luck fishing for fall eyes from shore around the Boom Site area?

I have caught walleye around the lift bridge. The shoreline by down town Stillwater should be holding a few fish too.
