Bring it to D-Rock in New Brighton. Have them replace the fuel lines and
rubber grommet. Cheaper than a new auger.

    What dandorn said!

Grouse, only reservation I make is for anniversary dinner… but, I came frighteningly close to forgetting this year. …If I do forget in future, I’ll be sure to call on the power of the IDO hoodie ; )

Now if only wearing one of the IDO hoodies got a guy a break on their Verizon bill, eh?!

Ain’t that the truth! I hate to admit, last two times I’ve had issues & needed help, I’ve gotten it…pleasantly….with a smile. A year ago, an arrogant “Viotch” nearly had me jumping ship…definitely different vibe last couple visits…then I get bill in mail. …smile gone.

They are great people to work with! I can’t say enough about how good both Skeeter Boat Center locations have been for my dad and I. No matter what the problem is they are always willing to go the extra mile for their customers.

And remember that it’s not just guys that bought new Skeeter boats from them that get this service.

I concur…Bought a Skeeter from SBC in 2010…still a small shop, but growing…service was second to none…from top to bottom…i sorta outgrew that boat after 3 seasons..SBC was much bigger when looking at next rig…service and advice hasn’t changed a bit…was hard, but I went with a non-Skeeter…needed a bit of work done on new boat…dealer I bought new boat from had never put a talon on one of their boats… SBC called…no problem, even on non-Skeeter…got it in and done quick and install was perfect…down to small details…dealer I bought it from couldn’t install bow trolling motor without it nearly coming off first time out…Had to cut cross threaded bolts off and redo it myself…never would have happened at SBC…LOVE my new rig, but have little love for dealer…Unless I need special motor work done, I’ll take it to SBC…I can’t imagine not buying next boat from them down the road…and I didn’t even bring cookies! Can’t imagine if I did ; )

Thanks fellas…still not 100% sure, but seriously leaning towards having it professionally done. Had couple company’s out…Garage Floor Coating of MN one of them….very impressed…more expensive than others, but I’ve seen DIY epoxy jobs…unless you just walk on or use your garage for a living room, they don’t hold up. also not really interested in redoing a acrylic every 2-4 years…I;m not after a showy, WOW! garage….just want something easy to maintain, protect cement from salt, and not have to worry about it again….thanks for advice!

I researched Radon mitigation and companies in town ad nauseum when we purchased “new to us” home with borderline radon level. Seller agreed to pay for a retest and mitigation if above cutoff (4.0 pci). We came in at 4.1 on retest.

We contacted / talked to several companies about our situation. One stood out not only in price, but in explaining mitigation techniques and exactly how they would put in system….Advanced Radon Services / Walt Fitzmaurice.

They only gave us a quote AFTER ensured they could help us. Before he would give us a bid, they drilled two or three very small holes in our basement and tested whether or not they would “communicat” / be able to make proposed system work. Once they verified they could help us, they gave us a bid comparable to other companies that gave a quote over the phone…without looking at situation.

Once we got the contract signed, we contacted the sellers agent to notify them of plan. They promptly suggested we get a second opinion from Advanced Radon Services since they had worked with them several times in the past. They didn’t realize that’s who we were going with. They were very happy to find that out and were happy to pay for whatever Walt, and ARS suggested. I’ve since referred them to three family and coworkers that were also very happy with them, esp. Walt.

The red can in the can line is just upstream from the day marker and is right in the middle. Last Friday it was just barely under, so it is probably a couple feet down now.

I hope they get to that one before it takes someone out…I’ve got it marked on my GPS…if I didn’t, I’d take it slow by the day marker for a while. Loosing a lower unit would be the least of my worries…that pointed buoy would puncture most boats at on plane speed I believe.

There is a red one sunk and out of place down by the can line as well.

Like “right-in-the-middle-of-the-cans out of place.” Almost got me on maiden maiden vogage last week. Eerily close to distaster…it was under a ways yesterday…glad Pepin was open to finish putting break in hours on…like others, I noticed several cans just under / or poking above water…stay safe….pfd’s a good idea, as always this time of year!

Michael, I switched from the Reliance 19 to a PowerTech

ptz4 18 on my wx1850 and was very happy with performance when fishing with 3 guys / heavy load…If I ran with myself or two guys solely, I’d have stayed with the Reliance…

The 4 blade ptz4 got me on plane considerably faster than the Reliance, again with heavy load, and kept me on plane at lower RPM, with load or by myself. I did sacrifice a 2-3mph top end speed, but that wasn’t vital to me. Call / email Brainerd Prop shop…Ricky will know if that prop is a good match for your hull and what your goals are, and I’m guessing he’ll still let you test if and bring back if don’t like it….again, my info was on a wx1850…quite a bit different rig. Good luck.

Here’s the best line from article….”We’re all sitting ducks,” Princeton University professor Michael Oppenheimer…

I try to be open minded, a steward of resources and don’t flip my finger to science, but come on!! That entire article was a pop scare share through and through! If not for the Humor Factor, I’d have been embarrassed to admit I read the entire thing

I get your sentiment. I’ve been a “landlord”…sold duplex after having similar experience. Very frustrating! But, I’ve also been on the other side of the fence. Alcohol and drug addiction is powerful…turns good people into bad, and bad people into even worse….I’m not gonna turn this into a philosophical thread on addiction…..I’ll simply say, “But for the Grace of God, there go I.” Let’s pray they wake up and see throught the Madness! Good luck with the new renters!
