I know you guys already answered me about my mx1825 and I was told to get the Cobra to put on. Well I havent did that yet. I found a buddy that had a Powertech 4 blade in 18 pitch. WIll this work on my boat to get it out of the hole and perform OK> I know you guys at Skeeter boat center try out all kinds of props. Just wondering what you think. Thank you for your time. Michael

I haven’t tried it. With that said it will probably come out of the hole good but you wont have the best top end. If you can just try it and don’t have to buy it, it would be worth a try. Just have to get the right hub for it.

Michael, I switched from the Reliance 19 to a PowerTech

ptz4 18 on my wx1850 and was very happy with performance when fishing with 3 guys / heavy load…If I ran with myself or two guys solely, I’d have stayed with the Reliance…

The 4 blade ptz4 got me on plane considerably faster than the Reliance, again with heavy load, and kept me on plane at lower RPM, with load or by myself. I did sacrifice a 2-3mph top end speed, but that wasn’t vital to me. Call / email Brainerd Prop shop…Ricky will know if that prop is a good match for your hull and what your goals are, and I’m guessing he’ll still let you test if and bring back if don’t like it….again, my info was on a wx1850…quite a bit different rig. Good luck.

Just wanted to follow up. I purchased the powertech PTZ4 18 pitch prop for my mx 1825. Boat performance with a heavy load is excellent. Gets out of the hole much faster. Handles very good.. Great option if you are carring a heavy load all the time. tournament load full tank 3 guys 5900rpm 57mph Hole shot not great but very good. Hole shot 2 guys amazing.. Best $450 i spent on the boat..

57 mph with that heavy of a load??? That seems really fast. I can get about 53 with full load and 2 guys…
