I don’t believe the lead poisoning argument. My grandson swallowed a .22 shell. We called poison control and they let us know there was no worry about lead poisoning, and it will pass.

I am sure many of you on this site have ingested or spit out many lead bb’s from your days hunting birds over the decades. I know I have.

I’ve been living on the croix for 23 years. The last 4 years seem to be the same levels as 2000-2012.(normal pool) From 2012-2018 were high all year round. Really high. I’m estimating the years. I used to mow the low backwaters of my property 20 years ago. Then 6-10 years of high waters made that impossible. Now I can mow that part again for the last 3 years.

We had 2 families move in during the 6 plus years of high water. The last 2 years they were concerned about the low water levels and thought it never happened before. I showed them pictures of early 2000’s. It’s normal pool.

I heard it was because they determined that it wasn’t navigational waters? Doesn’t make sense.

Correct. The lower St Croix is no longer used for shipping. No more coal to NSP. The new Bridge construction kept the Croix a “navigable” river.

Be careful. North of Hudson swing bridge, Catfish bar. Black bass point. Afton state park.

I have seen many boats hit the sandbar at Catfish. It happened a lot with the green cans in place.

too late for this advice now, but maybe for others.

Call and email your US Senator/Congressman. Tell them your situation. They can make it happen in a week. Friend did this.

Finally, something politicians are good for.

All you need is a voter ID. Easy to get but somehow it’s racist.

To all the people that say get out to vote, I say Don’t get out to vote Unless you do your due diligence. There are too many ignorant voters out voting for someone they have no clue what they stand for.

Don’t vote unless you have researched beyond the TV ads.

It’s science. How can you deny the results of DNA if you understand the science? My mother’s ancestors resided in Kenya and my fathers ancestor’s resided in Cameroon but it was a long time ago. It’s not a story, it’s a fact. Where do you think that the populations of the world originally came from came from?

It’s science….. I agree. DNA does not lie. 2 sexes. Male and female!! You are born with XX or XY and you will die that way regardless of what you think you are.

I couldn’t tell without zooming in but one is definitely a snook. See the distinct line?

I think it’s a Tarpon. That photo, MM, looks photo shopped. I may be wrong.

Starter probably seized. Take a hammer or whatever and tap the starter a few times. I had a 76 Torino that would periodically do exactly what you are describing. Starter will need to be replaced but this may get you going again in the event you are in no man’s land. Worth a shot.

Buggslayer works great! A bit pricey but once you spray in on your siding/house you will see the bugs dead on the ground for about a week or sooner if it rains and washed it off. Non staining. I spray my foundation and soffits every spring to eliminate ants a spiders. No more webs

Stop Griping about mileage. There are 2 types of tires. Summer and winter. If you run “all season tires” (Which are No Season Tires) you will always bitch about mileage and performance. Buy a pair of snow tires and a pair of summer tires. No tire is good for all seasons in Minnesota.

I t looks like an electrolysis issue from your pics. If your hull has pitting, you most likely will need to install or replace a sacrificial anode. All engines have them. Most by the lower unit. Different metals will produce an electric current when in contact with each other. This creates a depletion of the ‘weaker’ metal. A zinc or magnesium sacrificial anode will probably take care of your problems.

Or maybe it’s just your plywood

Your PSA can go up before your blood work if you rode your bike, Had sex, took a big dump. PSA is not a very good indicator of cancer. Cancer CANNOT be diagnosed by blood work.

Let me correct that. Solid Tumors cannot be diagnosed by blood work. only a biopsy can diagnose a solid tumor. Liquid tumors such as any B cell malignancy, will be diagnosed by blood work.

If you have a doctor telling you that you have a solid tumor cancer like Breast, Lung, Colon, Ovary, Pancreatic from a blood test. RUN and find a new doctor.

I was out today for about 2 hours and found around 100!! Most of them within 200 feet of a really big dead Elm. Average size was 2 inches. Mostly Yellows and a dozen grays.

Are any of you really doing a 5 inch poured driveway!? What are you parking on it? A 3 inch is all you need at 4000 psi. Runways at msp are 12 inch at 10,000. 2×4 forms with 2×2 rebar is all you need.

Lithium is an extremely reactive metal. It reacts almost explosively when in contact with water. Your battery most likely had a crack letting moisture in. Even high humidity. I remember my college chem classes with Li and water. This is not an uncommon scenario. Can’t put it out until the exothermic reaction is complete.

Use a pressure washer to blast material out from under the legs of the lift until you can get the boat off.

^^^ this works extremely well! No effort.

I love Sushi. My friends think I’m nuts. They say all that it’s good for is bait. Curious who here likes it and who doesn’t.

I love sushi too. Freshwater sushi is a no no. The reason is parasites. Salmon is iffy. My GI doc has seen a couple patients that got some worm infection from eating salmon sushi. Albeit over 20 years.
If you want to try sushi for the first time, try Walu aka Hawaiian escolar. Very buttery and mild. It has a white-ish flesh. Might be a bit harder to find. That’s how I started 25 years ago.
