2 very well fed coyotes.
I always look at the length of the legs compared to the height of the body. Coyotes have legs that are approximately equal to the height of their body from the bottom of the chest to the top of the shoulder. Which is what I think we have here.
If you look at pictures of wolves the legs are almost twice the length of the height of the chest.
Also on your picture the noses appear to have that coyote sharpness.
October 18, 2022 at 3:14 pm #2153517There are no Wolves in Minnesota. Very few left in Wisconsin also.

That or gray fox. Much bigger than the little Red one we always see.

This is the leader in the clubhouse for post of the year!!!!
I am going to say that is a yote, But I live in Iowa, and we dont have wolves… I know I would be be looking at it thru a rifle scope if given the opportunity with the hope of getting a close inspection!!

A gray fox isn’t nearly that big. FOX also have very pointed ears and a very thin nose.
Coyotes and fox rarely run in the same range. The coyotes will actively hunt the fox.

I think it’s a Tarpon. That photo, MM, looks photo shopped. I may be wrong.
