Can someone please find the Tribal hook and line regulations on the Political Pond for me? I have looked and can not find them.

Honda, Honda, Honda! Stay away from the Rincon though. That is the one model that has issues.

Also take into consideration the shape of the tubs/sleds of each brand. If you plan on ever pulling them by hand, the front side of the sleds can cause the sled to pull harder or easier. The Clam sleds are more of a plow than the Otter sleds.

Otter box is the best piece of ice fishing equipment you will ever buy. You can fit a 20lb propane tank in it if you lay it on its side, but that takes up a lot of room. I would suggest finding a 5lb or 10lb tank if you want to put it inside of the Otter box. I put a 5lb propane tank. small engel cooler, a Big Buddy heater, my power box, Vexilar Fl-20, Cabelas blind bag tackle box, spare 1lb propane cylinder, and a few other smaller items in my rear Otter Box. I have my Otter rod box mounted to one side and the Otter sportsman caddy mounted to the other side of the rear Otter Box.
I also have the Otter box on the front rack of my Foreman for auger drill and betteries, Marcum Recon camera, jump pack, and other extras i may need. I also have the digger ice auger mount attached to the top of the front Otter box and my Helix 7 mounted on the rear side of it in front of my handlebars. With the comination of both Otter boxes, I literally have nothing inside of my flip over bouncing around and getting wrecked or wrecking my fish house as I travel around the lake for miles at a time. In my opinion, the Otter boxes are the only way to safely store all of your equipment.

I am waiting for someone to put a deck on top of their flip over house sled with a cook top in it.

FYI… I already patented the idea so if you do it, you owe me money.

When it comes to the Otter line of flip over houses, the Xt X-Over models come with the 600 denier canvas, bench seats, and do not have the rear door behind the bench. The XT Pro X-Over houses come with the 1200 denier canvas, captain/boat seats, and the rear door behind the seats.

The Otter line is by far, in my opinion, the best option when it comes to durability. If it takes an extra 3 seconds to set up the house by moving the 2 side poles to use to side doors, it is worth that 3 seconds to have the Otter durability.

I have an Otter Cabin and have pulled it many times by hand to fish and I didn’t think it was too heavy, but I have also never pulled an Eskimo so I can’t compare one to the other when it comes to that.

Whatever your choice ends up being, enjoy your purchase, keep it topside.

I bought my Honda Foreman from Bessers Bike Barn. Great salesman and service. I will definitely be purchasing my next wheeler from them as well.

Pnuma may have a few different options as well. I have a jacket and pants made by them and absolutely love them.

Thanks guys. I fished Grindstone lake 1 day and got a bunch of big smallmouths and a couple walleyes. The rest of the week I was dissecting the Chippewa Flowage. Out of 50-60 walleyes, 3 were either in the slot or over 20′. LOTS of small fish!

Answering the questions about the front Otter box.

I have my battery for my Helix 7 in the front box. I also keep my jump pack, 4 batteries for my auger drill, spare gloves/hat, and goggles in the front box. There is still room for more stuff, I just have not figured out what else I need for ice fishing that I have not purchased yet.

I have a head light on the handlebars ( it is the High beam light) that can be shut off, but there is also 2 lights (low beams) below the front rack that are on whenever I have lights on.

If anyone would like pictures of the way I mounted the Digger Auger mount on the front box or how i mounted the Helix 7, let me know and I can post send them to you.

Metal coffee can and a couple pieces of coal in that can. Drill your hole and then another partial hole right next it just deep enough so that the water runs into the partial hole. Light the coals and put the coffee can in the partial hole. Its old school but, it works great.

I have the Power Noodle and absolutely love it but, I have never used the Precision Noodle so I cant compare the 2. I bought my Power Noodle to try it out and then ended up buying another since I liked it so much.

    Kris,
Is that a 20lb propane stuffed in the corner…or smaller ?

It is a 5# tank that I bought from Fleet Farm a few years back, but I also have a 1# tank shoved in front of that for a back up on those REALLY cold days. Still have room for my FL-20 and my 7.5 Engel bait cooler in there as well. I love this Monster Box!

They are great rods! I have built 6 rods using their Perch Sweetheart blanks and 2 Panfish rods using their panfish blank(cant remember if they called it a panfish sweetheart or power noodle). I have had them for at least 4 years now and have sold every other ice rod that I have owned prior. My next build will be a Walleye Sweetheart for using with Rippin’ Raps, Jiggin’ Raps, and other lures over 1/4oz just as others have said. The guys at Thorne Brothers are very informative and helpful with any questions you have. You cant go wrong with Thorne Brothers or their rods.

one more question… anyone know if a buddy heater (standing upright) fits in the otter medium monster box?

The Big Buddy Heater will fit inside the Otter Monster Box laying on its back.

Find a Minn Kota Vector 3x. It has 3x steering just as the Vantage does but, no electric deploy and stow to fail you. You have to manually deploy and stow. I wanted a Vantage but was always hearing stories of nothing but problems with them. I bought a Vector 24v 80lb thrust and have been back trolling problem free ever since.

Wouldn’t people be farther apart in a boat than if they were shore fishing?

Will you be able to have both transducers visible on the same screen? In my knowledge of running a net work, you have to select which 1 transducer you want the network to read from. That tells me that you would not be able to see the transducer on the right side of the motor simultaneously with the transducer on the left side of the motor. You would continuously have to go into your menu and change transducer.

This is in reply to running 2 transducers and a y splitter

I have searched using the product name and a bunch of other search tags and have come up with nothing. I have not seen a patent # on the packaging.
I have a name/# for a patent lawyer that a friend of mine has used multiple time for his patents, but I know that route will cost me a couple hundred $’s to have them do the research. I dont know if that is worth it.
I have a place to sell these and I am not going to mass produce them. I am just going to keep the bin full if they do sell.
Not planning to get rich off of them at all, but could fund my next couple rod builds, a fishing trip, a nice gift for my wife or whatever. It is more just hobby to keep me busy, but if it will end up in a court battle or something, then I would just make them for myself, and at this point I have more than enough hooks to last me and a buddy a life time.
