Yes, I did get it off of Facebook Marketplace, it was “new in box” but in today’s world I guess I need to take that with a grain of salt. I will pull the manual out and double check the curves and voltages line up with what they should be.
I’m not sure how long the PCL chargers have been out, I’m going to try and find a manufactured date and see if it is within two years. With my luck it’s at 25 months
June 15, 2020 at 6:47 pm #1950245Thanks for the information. Would it be wise to add a little bit? I have no idea when any was added. I haven’t noticed any change since I have had the boat 2 years. But it is a bit tight to turn when trolling.
June 15, 2020 at 10:24 am #1950111I haven’t really noticed its hard to steer but its hydraulic steering tiller. I looked and can’t see any oil in there.
July 10, 2019 at 10:44 pm #1866920Has anyone ever used 2×6 16 gauge metal studs/joists for the flooring joists? Or any other structural steel floor joists? I know it will cost more but the weight difference is about 200lbs lighter vs ground contact lumber.
July 3, 2019 at 8:05 am #1865710I did change and will be using 2×4 wood wall studs 24″oc with spray foam insulation.
The outside will be pole barn siding. The skids does have 3×3 angle iron at the front and back to keep the skids squared along with 4 mounting plates along each side to secure the floor frame to. What do you mean treatment of the marine grade plywood? It will have spray foam underneath and rubber for the flooring.July 3, 2019 at 6:10 am #1865687I did talk to a couple people and they said with the closed cell spray foam the floor would be rock hard.
July 3, 2019 at 6:08 am #1865686Isn’t that along ways off the ice? With skids, flooring joists and blocking?
July 2, 2019 at 8:24 pm #1865628Besides the skids it will pretty lightweight. Steel studs, spray foam and 1/8″ paneling.
September 7, 2018 at 9:48 pm #1796177You dont think that would be to stiff right on the floor? It’s only 1/18th thick.
September 7, 2018 at 3:48 pm #1796111I think I am going to stick with a rubber floor. Stayed in a couple shacks on red that had rubber flooring and it was great. I found a roll at menards that is big enough to cover the while shack with no seems. The down fall it is only 55 mil or 1/18th inch thick. Do you guys think if I seal the floor, put down a 5/16th carpet pad and then glued the rubber down to the pad it should work? Should have enough cushion with the pad and waterproof with the rubber, plus the floor will be spray foamed so it will be warm. In my mind it will work. What do you guys think?
July 18, 2018 at 12:35 pm #1786351It is an awesome and clean boat for being 18 years old!
I also plugged up the front live well to make it dry storage but like you said it still gets water in it.
I ran my hand under the front storage compartment and from the deck to the hull there is about a 1/4″ gap that the water just runs down.July 17, 2018 at 12:33 pm #1786174All of the cabinets are carpeted inside. All of the doors have locks on them and they all work. If I leave the boat in the harbor I would definitely take all my stuff with! It is pretty sad we cant even trust other fishermen…
July 17, 2018 at 12:25 pm #1786170That definitely isn’t the answer I was looking for. It kinda sucks that you cant have any dry storage in a boat! I was hoping I could keep most of my stuff in the boat to free up some garage space.
July 13, 2018 at 11:00 pm #1785702I absolutely love the shack but with the growing family I need more bunks! I dont want to sell it but I don’t want to tear it apart to make it work.
