From shore or do you have a boat? The Lower stretches of the Vermillion river towards Hastings otherwise Spring Lake on the Mississippi on Rosemount Hastings borders has lots of carp n cats from shore at the public access or from boat in spring lake and all of pool 2. The Vermillion is a trout stream so you would have to check the regulations to see where the trout regs end etc Access is limited as well as it is through private lands on the lower stretches.

If younreally want to hammer them try a wooly bugger I like olive black and brown or purple orange and black. Also if you have any trails by your house try walking them and see if you can find a pond and if you do ,look in it.

I mainly fish a weedy pond with average size bass around 5 pounds, I have been looking at the quantum accurist with a daiwa airdrops rod or a quantum energy PTiC spinning reel and a Berkeley lightning shock rod , I usually am fishing in a tight spot where I cant use my regular baitcaster so I’m leaning towards a flipping stick

    daiwa aird*

A good setup is the pflueger microguide reel but the rod is around 5 ft so you could choose the reel and a different rod otherwise the reel is very good

Maybe not that expensive of a rod but the reel looks nice for a good price also

Z I like 35 lb spider wire stealth braid with 8 pound mono line to save that expensive line with an eagle gt rod m-mh, I need help choosing. Between a flipping rig or another spinning combo I have 2 baitcasters 1 spinning and 2 empty spinning rods

I like braid for the same reason it has no strecth but a dow
nside is the visibility of it in the water but it is generally stronger than mono
