No, Mike caught his perch in 6fow. I however did ok in a foot of water. I was surprised to find them that shallow. Thinking outside of the box made for a delicious lunch Saturday afternoon!

Here are some pictures of the past weekend of open water crappie, all where caught on a black hair jig under a slip float.

July 26, 2013 at 11:57 am #1185800Sodak slobo this fish was 10.6 inches long and had the depth that my mitts could not hold it from belly to back it was almost 7 inches deep no lie and very knobby and thick. This fish was a Great Great Great Grama or Grandpa tipped my digital scale at 1lb 5oz. She is still swimming. Never know what Sodak will turn up – QB
July 27, 2013 at 8:35 pm #116589410-1/2″ and a 10-1/4″ from a private access lake. Gills like this been common in there. Too bad a few people figured it out and took to over harvesting. These along with about 15 others that were all over 9″ were released
