Check the battery with a volt meter to see if that’s the issue.

I was out 2 weeks ago and had luck with smaller crappies in deep water at sunset into the dark. If you pick threw them u can get a meal. Fish were up 7 to 20 ft off the bottom. Small forage minnow with small minnow head or bobber with small minnow. The bigger crappies I think were in shallower. Good luck.

I re downloaded the 3.01 to the 3.17 and everything works. I think what happened it had the wrong download right from the start. Thanks again everyone for the help. I can’t wait to get this unit on the ice.

Well I charged the battery my meter says 13 volts dc, turned the unit on and the volt meter dropped to 12.9 volts. The unit still says 9.9 volts. I will call marcum and ask them.

Thanks for the info. The battery is good, the voltage from the battery says 11.9 volts I would expect the unit would say close to that. Checked connections tightened them up a little, same thing just under 10 volts. I will call marcum tommorrow and ask them.

maybe the propwash scatters baitfish under the boat, and you get a reaction bite becouse of that.

I agree with chris on the subject from what he is trying to explain. There are also other issues than just lindy rigs with fish mortallity. Situation senario, dosnt matter what your presentaion is, your fishing in 30 feet of water and you set the hook into a fish, there is no need to reel it in as fast as you can. I see that all the time, people want to get it into the boat as fast as they can. Take your time and reel it nice and easy. Also when landing a nice fish, every one wants a photo and measurement of the fish. Take your ruler thats sitting in the sun and dip it into the water before measurment, and take a quick photo then realease it. There is no need for more than one photo especially when it is the middle of the summer. If you do get a gut hooked fish you make sure that you cut the line instead trying to get it out with the pliers. This is a very touchy subject and I just wanted to put in my 2 cents.

There are a lot of reefs and rock piles to the south of fishers resort. Personally I have never fished in that area this time of year, but I think if you try setting up on some shallow rocks towards the evening, like the last hour of light, you should have some luck. Try anchoring and fishing bobbers with leeches or night crawlers.
