Desperate times call for desperate measures!

That’s a feel good measure at this point. Good luck with the plot. Growing season is done. Not sure what you have in the ground but most likely a little water won’t get it much better at this point.

Hopefully this link works. I have a friend who works for this failure of an employer. And yes the Amazon driver on a Sunday was technically a USPS employee. Glad you’re up to defend them riverruns. I’ll wish you luck with that.

    The link didn’t work.

Yes I know they are employed by USPS. They are out there delivering packages that we recieve from Amazon.

I did RCA for 6 years. 23 different routes working numerous offices, before I became fulltime. 23 routes got me the paycheck I needed to keep my lifestyle that we live going. No shame in that for me.

I’ll support an RCA but will not give them alot of sympathy if that is what they are looking for?

Going on a year without an RCA for my route. I’ll work 6 days a week and take the money. Doesn’t bother me one bit.

    That’s funny stuff.
He or she was not a mailman on a Sunday though. Package delivery person for Amazon using a USPS vehicle instead of a Amazon delivery vehicle.

    Ya USPS paid for employee.

Anyone hear the latest USPS news…. A lot of USPS employees were not paid for a day or something like that. Glitch in the system or some lame excuse. Great employer, LoL

Seena your still following your last employment? Could you elaborate?

I just recently quit the USPS after trying it for almost a year. It was the worst job I ever had. Low pay, 7 day weeks, 50-70 hr weeks, considered part time, supply your own vehicle that needs to be reliable as well as able to deliver mail out of,no training on all routes, and management that refused to address problems and just criticized everything the subs did. That place is a complete joke and I hope they all go down with the ship.

That sounds tough, were you forced to work 7 days a week? Was there overtime pay? That’s comes out to an average of 7 to 10 hour days. Working man day? Do you agree?

I assume when you inquired for the position for your local post office you knew you were responsible for a reliable delivery vehicle? Shame on them if they didn’t inform you, but you knew that.

Maybe getting criticized as a sub, shows you didn’t go the extra mile? Lots of people don’t know what that means? Lots of people also do. It’s called busting your ass and doing a little more to get respect. Not only from management, but your coworkers who do it everyday.

So now what. It sounds like it’s someone else’s fault you quit a job. They didn’t fire you.

By the way, if your home is within 1/2 mile of your mailbox, we are required to deliver your packages that don’t fit in your mailbox, to the place you request for it to be delivered (garage, front door). Rural America works yet where I live.

In due time this will be resolved. Most of our productive farm land will be covered with solar panels. We won’t need to disturb the land.

Who needs crops to feed animals and people? All will be good.

You built and moved into their living space. Adjust the attitudes and live with them. That’s how we live at our place.

We have snakes and we don’t really care for them but we know they do us good. We adjust for them. We won’t kill them. We will let them move off and they always have.

We even moved this one off the road in front of our house. It went into the ditch and that was the last we seen of it. About 3 weeks ago.

Bluffs like you are I believe,

We are getting 2 five gallon pails every 2 days of picking now. We only use a pickling cucumber. Even if the cucumbers get bigger they are still good for slicers. Lots of canning going on now.

This is what you get when the Biden syndicate flys Chinese balloons over the US.

What ever did happen to all the Covid hype?

We get sick. Deal with it.

We have used 5 or 7 ft scaffold sections. They work great

So, for a permanent blind anchored down these wouldn’t make any noise? How would I anchor them to the ground to securely hold a box blind and a couple people?

Is scaffolding cheap and easy to come by? I have no idea. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have the 6′ model same as the pic.
Bought it used from a guy in Sconny so a little cheaper but the new price isn’t bad.
I mounted it to a platform and screwed it down.
Simple but nice. Windows work great, Holds up under snow, roomy and decent head space.
    I’d do it again.

I bought 3. They seem to be well built and not the flimsy stuff like you see being sold at a fleetfarm or similar store for a comparable price.

Only 2 in the pic. The other is sitting in a field.

These will be elevated but only about 5 foot. We don’t see a need for higher than that for us.

It’ll be nice for sitting and snoozing in crappy weather.

I got my beans off Amazon through Vanilla Bean Kings.

I’m sure the beans are all close the same quality? I have no comparison for bean taste though because the only 1 time I got beans you mailed them to me. bow

I have 3 bottles of everclear with vanilla beans tucked away in brown bags now. We’ll have plenty of vanilla for years to come. waytogo

We’re for sure a couple weeks out for our cucumbers and pickling.

Did 30# cabbage into kraut Friday. The cabbage was free so we couldn’t turn it down. More work keeping the temp where it needs to be with the summer temps though. Much prefer fall for the kraut.

I’m figuring that since these are made in central MN someone might have experience with them?

They sure seem to be well built with being molded and no seems. Thanks for the response!

I ended up putting 8 beans in the bottle of 190 proof everclear.
I have 17 beans left. Tomorrow I’ll be picking up 2 more bottles of everclear and splitting the beans between them.

We should be good on vanilla for a long time. toast

Going to revive this. My vanilla is just about used up from 2018 when I made this.
Looks like I used 4 vanilla beans Tom sent me. I do believe these were fresh beans.

I did get beans off of Amazon. I got 25 beans. The ones I got are B grade where the ones i used previous were A grade.

A grade has a higher moisture content from what I read.

Now my question is, how many beans should I use while I am using B grade beans? I’m using 1 liter bottle of everclear 190 proof.

Not sure if Tom ever logged in under another name after being banned? Thanks Shawn

Let’s through a little CWD into the factor. See how this plays out. Trae Wayne’s property isn’t that far from the CWD that is here in Buffalo county.

I own hunting property in buffalo county and also have hunting property in trempeleau county. Both counties know for huge bucks.

Not sure as an investor I’d want to risk that investment but who knows? We have what we need to hunt. Good for those that can take the chance at the land investment for a whitetail hunt.

I bet alot of those old pictures of all the big bucks will be recycled for years to come trying to attract future clients for hunting purposes.

Tough to get the help. That’s the answer for the original post. I’m not a USPS spokesperson but that’s kinda the jist of it. Lots of PO sit with vacant routes. Just how it is.

Pay and benefits are decent. Work is decent. Depends I’m sure what craft your in?

Yes being an RCA (rural carrier associate) is tough. Been there and done that. I also see the struggles they go through. Tough work being an RCA. Rewards come at the end when full time.
Very little benefits being an RCA.

6 day a week delivery is federally mandated. Complain all you want, it’s not going away.

If anyone is looking for a partime gig in Fountain City, send me a message. I would like a Saturday off. waytogo

Followed it some for the last couple years. Wasn’t sure if my new log in worked.

I know I lost all my previous stuff and contacts I had here. wave We’ll see how round 2 goes. whistling
