I have the BOG death grip carbon fiber tripod. It is the most rock solid tripod you can get if you are sitting in a blind or have time to set up to shoot. Not the greatest if you are on the go and don’t have a lot of time to get set up and make a shot.
June 23, 2021 at 3:54 pm #2044325I have a Lowrance hds gen 2 graph, any idea how those work in that graph?
June 15, 2021 at 12:22 pm #2042841I fished the tournament and went to lake independence. Got to the landing at 545 am and there was about 70 people there! Turns out there was a kayak bass fishing tournament which made fishing any shallow spots pretty tough. We ended up catching 3 northerns, no muskies. Still had fun and most of the kayak fisherman were very kind and polite when we talked to them.
May 24, 2021 at 7:45 pm #2038694I just bought a couple FVP Group 27 batteries to run my trolling motor. Got them from Menards, for the price if they get me 4 to 5 years like my previous batteries did I will be happy.
November 28, 2020 at 9:11 am #1992061I would recommend going with a 60 inch shaft and 80 pound thrust trolling motor.
November 19, 2020 at 12:39 pm #1989396After many years of just wearing whatever camo & blaze orange clothing for hunting, over the last couple years I have slowly been buying Sitka gear. I wore the Fanatic jacket this year for gun hunting and I was impressed. It doesn’t get much better than that for stand hunting in the cold. It is ultra quiet and has pockets strategically placed. Only down fall to that piece is that it is not totally water proof, and its not pack-able, its like rolling up a sleeping bag.
November 1, 2020 at 9:19 pm #1984584Covid 19 effects each individual differently, & your a fool if you ignore what’s going on. While yes 99% of people will survive getting the virus its no walk in the park. Be courteous & cautious to others around you. My biggest fear was 1spreading the virus to my parents or any elderly folks.
November 1, 2020 at 6:46 pm #1984535Everyone take it from me. I would have went to work any other year thinking what I had was just a cold. I just had a hunch that I should go get tested because I lost my sense of smell & taste. Any other year I would have just went to work and battled a cold just like any other day. Learn from me, this year is different, if you feel sick go get tested.
November 1, 2020 at 4:42 pm #1984518Last Friday night all of a sudden I couldn’t taste or smell anything. I woke up Saturday early to go hunting and I couldn’t taste my coffee. I sat for a while and decided I better head home because something just isn’t right. I got home and just sat at home the rest of the weekend. Monday morning came and I still just didn’t feel right. I called in sick to work with what I thought was just a cold (I never call into work) to just rest for another day and go to work Tuesday. Well, I decided Monday morning to go get a covid test and good thing I did because I tested positive. The only symptoms I had were congestion, a slight cough, and loss of taste and smell. I never had a fever the entire time that I have had covid. I am going on 10 days since I lost my sense of smell and taste and I would say I’m still at a 80% or so loss. Hopefully my sense of taste and smell comes back within the next few weeks.
September 16, 2020 at 4:05 pm #1972923Thanks for all the input guys. Grouse, I bought a Weatherby Vanguard weatherguard .25-06. I picked up one piece Talley rings, and a vortex diamondback scope to go with it.
September 16, 2020 at 3:10 pm #1972903I am planning on going to the range to break the gun in and make sure it is on before I use it for hunting, I just need to get it all put together!
August 29, 2020 at 8:00 pm #1969215Chapman’s resort or Hunter Winfield’s resort would be good places to go out of. I would maybe call somewhere this evening and see what time they will be around in the morning if your going to go out of a resort! I have always had good luck at the Isle landing, but I know there is a concern with the string of crime that has been going on at the landings.
May 19, 2020 at 11:20 am #1943443I used Economy Canvas. My cover turned out nice, its starting to show some wear. I have had it for 3 or 4 years now. The thing I hate most about the cover is having to go around with bunji cords to every loop. Part of me wishes I would have done a snap cover but I didnt want to deal with broken buttons. Pros and cons to each style.
May 5, 2020 at 12:57 pm #1940000They probably wont announce until the 18th or the 19th that they will open the border back up or not. Would be hard to believe they would just let us over the border the same way they have been doing it.
