Jake I did use the yellow speedo/reverse override button until I saw RPMs. It does say zero when trying to turn it over. However I’m not getting spark.

You should be seeing like 500rpm +/- when cranking, spark or not. I’d bet money you need at least a crank position sensor. They’re $14 on amazon and super easy to replace. I can send you the link if you need. Sounds like you may have more than one problem going on however.

Edit: It’s been a couple years since I went through this with mine. But the more I think about it, I don’t think I had spark either. I just dug through my old amazon orders and I had ordered new plug, wire, coil pack. Funny thing is they didn’t fix anything for me. And a couple days later I have an order for the CP sensor. With your machine reading 0 you need the sensor for sure. And I’d be willing to bet you’ll have spark after as well.

Well I replaced the spark plug but still won’t start.

Jake – I don’t have an RPM display

Starting to think it could be the fuel pump – doh

I believe you do. You need to cycle the instrument panel with the yellow reverse override button. It will cycle through miles/trip etc until it gets to rpm as one of the options. I can make a quick video to show you if need be. I also have a brand new ignition coil and wire from when I was diagnosing mine if you’d like to give that a try. Seeing as spark maybe your culprit. I’m near Garrison.

Is it reading RPM when trying to turn over? I had the same machine. Had spark, had fuel, but wouldn’t start. Turned out to be the crank position sensor. Super cheap and easy fix but took me a long time to track down and diagnose. Turns out it was super easy to diagnose from the info above. Digital RPM will read 0 when cranking over if thats your problem. Fingers crossed for ya. was only like $15 sensor.

I picked up a reveal pro a couple months ago and think the 20 dollar price bump is worth it over the gen2. Has a screen to check images on the camera and has its gps location on the tactacam app. Worth the peace of mind being able to track it down if someone steals it.

Ill take a long shot–anyone have access to a btl of Stagg-im talking ‘jr’. not George T. that would be willing to trade or sell? I know I can pretty easily get it from an online store–currently it goes for about 300-400 but I just cant justify that–I bid up to 200 on a btl in a silent auction and it sold for 210–kinda kicking myself on that one
Gotten into bourbon too late i guess and everything is allocated now–been looking for my own bottle of stagg after falling in love with it-

Can find them pretty easily for around the 225 mark in Mn. Lemme know if thats in your wheelhouse and I can point you in the right direction.

I got like 70k out of my Nitto ridge graps. But that is with minimal summer driving. I think that might have had a big impact, but I was very happy with them. They were 295/55/20 so like a 33×11.5.

Do a little youtube university on the cheaper 100ah lithiums and go that way. The upgrade from lead acid to lithium is gonna be 10x what cheap lithium to expensive lithium is.

A local liquor store owner last week let me sample a couple “sipping rums”. They sure were tasty, and my only rum experience is Captain years ago. I forget what the brand was but one was a 25yr and a I think a 15 or 20 year. I preferred the younger one, but not by much. Both were really enjoyable. Say’s he was getting some of them in next month. I might have to splurge and get one. I should have taken a picture of the sample bottles, I can’t even come close to recalling the name.

Edit: Quick google search and I found em. Ron Centenario was the brand. The older one was the 30 year (cool/fancy bottle) and I can’t remember the younger one. Either the 20 or 25year. I remember the 30 being much bolder/deeper flavor. Younger one was right on the money taste wise for me. But I’m not a rum drinker so what do I know. Was fun getting a sip tho!

As for keeping them cool they sit in my boat cubby in a Rubbermaid tub the entire year. Never had one melt. Keep them out of direct sunlight. I have over 100 packs in my boat 24 7

This only applies if you are keeping them in the same container as other plastics. Let em get as hot as you want, doesn’t matter. but keep them in the same container as other plastics and one of them will be a puddle. Some kind of chemical reaction with traditional plastics.

Anyone try Elmer T Lee single barrel?

I had a pour from a restaurant in Viroqua Wisconsin the other weekend. Was really enjoyable. I wouldn’t pay secondary for it, but would definitely grab it, if you found for a reasonable price.

Pretty sure they are sourcing the bourbon. Back of the bottle gives a couple details and I cant remember if it was Indiana or Virginia.

That would be odd. The owner told me they were not allowed to serve or sell anything that they did not distill there. Unless they have a related distillery some place else and they are allowed to use liquor made at that location as well.

Their website claims aged 3-5 years. Hard to believe they have been aging their own stuff that long.

I thought bourbon took a few years to age before it could be sold as bourbon? Have they been at it a few years? There’s a vodka distillery near our cabin and the owner said they were branching out to bourbon but it wouldn’t be ready until it aged. I think he said 3 years?

Pretty sure they are sourcing the bourbon. Back of the bottle gives a couple details and I cant remember if it was Indiana or Virginia.

Pretty fun seeing this guy at a local watering hole. Had to give it a try as I’ll never find one to bring home. I don’t have a lot of experience with high proof pours. But it drank like it was no where near actual proof. Definitely had some of those familiar buffalo trace flavors that I really enjoy.

If you’re paying anything over $30 for regular Buffalo Trace you are part of the problem.

i’ve long suspected that i’m part of the problem.
of course, these are SiB, so maybe i can get a $0.49 extension?

Nice! I’ve yet to find a store pick of BT.. Would be fun to do a side by side and compare.

Sorry I don’t have a answer for ya. But I’ve been toying with a livescope build. Just wondering if the echomap units have hdmi out or only the gpsmap units? Hard to find this info on their website.

Thanks for all the advice. Got lucky and found a Henry McKenna 10 at Elevated in White Bear Lake. Out of the store for $80. I think that’s a lil high but saved me a trip into the cities and I guess opportunity cost. They had Blanton’s and EH Taylor as well, but the prices were a bit (way) high. Got what I was looking for.

Jesus, 299 for blantons and 199 for eagle rare… They can keep em, and continue their museum. Places like this don’t deserve your business.

On the search for Henry McKenna 10YR or Blanton’s. Gonna try Chicago Lakes liquor or DT Whole Foods Saturday. Any tips buys ya bunk on the ND wheelhouse trip, women not included.

Also, without reading thru all the pages on this thread, was there an app that assisted in the search for the harder to find pours? Might be mistaken. Thanks.

Can get you a McKenny 10 easy near me. They have gone up to around 65ish from what I’ve seen. Blanton’s is gonna be a right place at the right time sort of thing.

What are the shakeups you are talking about? Genuinely curious. We looked for about a month before we bought and in that time interest rates went up 3 times. I too believe prices need to come down as the used vehicle market is insane.

Search Carvana and check out the news on them in last couple days. Could be foreshadowing used car futures.

Bigger picture. Used car wholesale prices have been steadily decreasing week over week. down 18% since July. Expected to continue into next year.

If you can, wait 6 months. You’ll save thousands. Big shakeups happening in the last couple days in the used car market. Prices should be coming down.

if you see a bottle of Barrell Seagrass, definitely give it a try. i’m grabbing the next one i find to restock! it’s a supremely good rye blending different finishes for a very complex, fruity profile. delicious!

I had a pour of their “Vantage” the other week and was really impressed. They got some good juice! But they don’t give em away either. Hard to pull the trigger on em at the store.

I wouldn’t risk trying to take them through TSA. I do a lot of traveling for work and bring a lot lithium batteries. We stay compliant with the regs, but you never know when a security agent isn’t as familiar. Not worth the hassle in my opinion. Basically exactly what TFG said lol.

As far as free content goes. Still pretty good stuff.

Interesting how he just uploaded a new video on his channel unrelated to GOI…..

Very interesting on timing of that video. I found the music choice on the second half interesting as well. Pretty specific lyric choices cut from that song.

the 3,6,8,and 12 will output more power into your “fuel” tools. I think the 8 is the sweet spot.

Unwined Up North has fantastic food and a really good bourbon selection. Wine too I’m sure.
