Million-dollar idea. Whatever they pick have it printed on toilet paper and sell them at the state fair next to the DFL booth.

Amen…who are you or I to judge how others spend there money.

You shouldn’t. But when they show up with their hand out looking for someone pay for their bad decisions. Judged you will get.

Should be fine. Both the charger and alternator have charging controls that reduce voltage and amps.
You could pull the fuse from the starting battery line coming out of the charger so only the outboard is charging that battery.

Be careful running at only 5400 rpm. When I bought my wx2100 the guy put on a 3 blade with way too much pitch. I started to make oil. Dropped a 4 blade 19″ pitch on it and that works great. No more making oil.

I have this issue. What is happening on mine is the boat bow ring is pushed up against the back of the catch. I even think my boat wiggles forward when trailering.
The solution is to move the boat back a bit so it’s not contacting the rear of the catch. When I get to the launch I loosen my strap a few inches. When I back down the ramp I just hit the brakes to get the boat to move a bit. Unlocks just fine then.

Your kid also finished in 5th place with 330.75″ (66″ average). That’s awesome!

He went back this last weekend to upgrade his total. Looks like it was worth his effort. That’s a great average.

We got a piece of that action last weekend. We got 23 sturgeon over 50″. 9 were over 60″. We got 3 that had girths bigger than 30″. Absolute piggies. My kid upgraded his PB with a 67 x 28.5″. The photo has a sturgeon with a 30.5″ girth, and it was only 63″ long. I think it is my heaviest to date. My kid was in heaven. He got to reel all the fish in as I’m still recovering from rotator cuff surgery.

I use Amsoil lower unit oil and mine come out black every year. From what I’ve read that’s ok as long as there aren’t metal shards or milky looking watery oil coming out.

2x. Mine comes out dark every year out of the F250. I looks like new when drained from my 9.9.

Just order 3x 100ah PowerUrus at $400 each with BT to power Ulterra.

I did a lot of research on batteries and for a budget battery, the tear downs were pretty impressive.

Please report back. I may go this route.

You would do better to get a 12v tv. Much more efficient. Inverters going from 12v to 120v are fairly inefficient.

When my grandpa passed the family decided I should get his deer rifle. It was an old Remington pump in 35 Rem. Great gun for drives and heavy cover. My first shot with it I got a big doe. Thanks Grandpa.

I’m with Rip and Big. Upsize the starting battery to the biggest AGM deep cycle you can fit. It should be able to run it all and have more than enough cranking amps.
Is your current group 24 a marine starting battery or deep cycle? Lead acid or AGM?

Just had this issue. Called a buddy of mine that rep’s for Humminbird. Others have had this issue.
What he told me to do is reformat the card on your computer. Remove it and put it in your head unit. The Head unit will display that message, “SD Card Encryption successful”. Remove the card form the head unit and put it back in your computer and load up the update. Make sure it’s the correct update. There was a separate on just for the GN4 Helix 9 Ice version.
Place it back in the head unit and wait for the message asking if you wish to update the software version. I didn’t have to but you may need to wait a while for the update message to come up on the screen. He said it may take up to 10 minutes.
Before you put in the update card return the unit to factory defaults. Also you no longer put the card in before start-up. You put the card in the head unit after the current software version loads.
This worked for me. GN4 Helix 9 Ice and Mega live both updated.

Most lithium batteries cannot be used for a starting battery. If you go that route, make sure your battery can handle starting loads.

Helix head units love the higher working voltage of the lithium.

This what I did last year that would work in your situation. I added a 5th battery just for my electronics. it was a 100 amp Renogy lithium with a self heating function for charging in low temps. I connected it to my agm starting battery through a Renogy DC to DC charger. The Dc to DC charger can take the lower 12 volts and change it to a lithium charge rate of 14.6 volts. What shocked me shock was every time I got home a connected the lithium battery to my NOCO 10 amp charger the battery it showed fully charged in like 10 minutes. The system is keeping the lithium battery fully charged most the time. cool

I am running 3 Helix 12’s and 1 Helix 9 with Mega live and 360.

Good luck in your recovery. Shoulder surgery is said to be the most painful of the orthopedic procedures. I concur. I had rotator cuff surgery in 2019. 9 weeks off of work. Early March surgery and didn’t go fishing until Memorial Day weekend. The first week really sucked. 5mg of oxie didn’t do much of anything. Dr’s are being restricted when it comes to pain meds. Think about doubling up your dose the first couple of days. The hardest part is only being able to sleep on your back for 6 weeks. Good thing was I was able to regain full use of my shoulder with zero issues. My Dr. was kinda shocked as I ripped two mussels completely off the bone. Ice is your friend.

Unfortunately, I injured my other shoulder on this Xmas eve pulling a battery out of my truck. I thought I totally shredded it. I have regained most of the use of that shoulder so that’s a good sign. A few sore spots still. I see my surgeon next week. I have to have at least some small tears. Hopefully surgery won’t be required.

I used my check card. No cash. No difference in going to the bar. Go to the bar and see all the guys with cash gambling. Not sure what part you wouldn’t be comfortable with. That line was a group of the friendliest people I had ever met.

I was thinking of when Cali and Colorado went legal. IT was a cash only biz.
Kinda ripe for a street group (PC) to pull up and rob everyone.

This is not correct. I just got back from Illinois, the lines were out and around the building every day. And I could also get some from the guy at the bar, the quality was 10x better with the legal. 100 percent worth the extra few bucks. It shows in the numbers. Just look it up.

I don’t know how comfortable I would be in that line knowing everybody has a bunch of cash on them.
