We fished last Saturday and Sunday had really good luck at dam with dubuque rigs .4mph up stream. We fished both side but bigger fish were on WI side with the #’s of fish on MN side. We should have fished the Turkey Combo but just wanted to fish for fun. Our first 2 walleyes and saugers would have put us in money and with 6 fish may have even won it, who knows did not enter even with BK & Kari trying to talk me into it. We tried 3 ways with Rapalas at dam and below Y with only 1 legal. We fished the dubuque rigs in 18 to 23fow. Sunday we were on water early why i DO NOT KNOW fished till noon had 4 legal and bunch short fish on MN side. had to keep switching poles due to eyes icing up so bad even had to hand over hand 1 fish. Trolling moto would not even run prop frooze soild, did see 2 other boats fishing at dam Sunday. The ramps were AWESOME as usaul so cant wait to get back up there yet this year.

The trailer should have hyd brakes, I would also suggest hyd free backing brakes. The free backing has a plate that moves shoe in so you do not get the dragging when backing. You will also need a hyd actuator on the tongue of the trailer. Call Redneck Trailer Supplies for help and parts 1-877-973-3632 I think the store you will contact is in St. Cloud.

Fished head of lake area Thursday and Friday with very good results. Trolled lead the whole trip with #5 & #7 shad raps, flicker shads and storm smash shads. We caught fish all thru days in 13-21 fow depending on clouds or sun. Most fish were in the 17″ to 18″ range with some 20 inch fish. Water temps were 55 to 57 for us. Wish could have stayed over weekend and fished the lake, buddy stayed went to lake and did very well both days with lead also.

We pulled lead at end of day after riggin all day with no luck. We fished upper end of lake pulling lead in 15 to 20 fow of water. Caught 5 fish with a 25.5 and 28 the 2 kicker fish. It was a nice day to be on the water and will only get better in next couple of weeks.

If you take the id and od measurements of the seal you can call Redneck Trailer Supplies 1-877-973-3632. They should have a seal for you. I think the trailer company used Dexter axles at some point.

I have older Jiffy 30 with the STX blades on it and have the exact same problem. The auger runs great till last couple of inches, boggs out or dies. I lift auger and let blades work but you go thru blades faster and at $67.00 to $79.00 a set gets to be old! I have put a carb kit in each of the last 2 years and did not fix the problem and have had a buddy of mine make the screw adjustments as was drilling a hole to no avail. I was seriously thinking about replacing it with the Jiffy propane yet this year.

Fished Saturday from 7am to 3:30pm with alot of fish being caught. There was maybe 10 boats on the water with it being deer season last weekend I guess. We caught ton of short sugers with about every 20-25 fish getting a keeper. We used ringworms and moxi to get the fish. It was a very good day on the water with my step son since we did not get to fish this summer together as much as we had done in past.We ended up with 5 keeper saugers and 4 walleyes.

It was me, I did fish Thursday and Friday with orange blades and had one of the best bites Thursday had in years. I fished the blades in 10-13 fow in sand and wood bottoms and rocks also with wood and snaggs seem to be where the fish were. I had best luck Thursday before wind gust round 11:30 then bite was gone. I did catch 3 limits of 18-21″ walleyes and 4 saugers in the 17-19″ inch range Thursday and bunch smaller. Friday could not buy a fish on blades all on denver rig in 19-23fow, mostly saugers Friday.

We had a very good time even with rain most of the week. The resort was very clean and staff was very friendly. The restuarants were all very good really do not have any complaints. I would go back again no doubt!

The wife and I are leaving 13th for 7 days to stay at Sandos Playacar beach resort. We have never been to this resort, stay at Cancun last time, not impressed. Last year went to Dominican Republic and it was awesome. I will let you know what we think we get back.

I would suggest going from a bias tire to a radial. You will get a smoother ride and will not weather check as fast. I work for Redneck Trailer Supplies and you can check tire wheel combo out on web@ http://www.redneck-trailer.com it will also give you tel# to closet store.

Joe we started in the 14 to 16fow early and by mid day 26 to 28 to wing dams and back forth from 18 to 20fow. We would make a drift and repeat if noting would move deeper or shallower just had to keep moving where no more than hand full of boats were drifting.

Fished Sat from 4am to 6:30pm from dam to below Bay Point. We fished shallow dragging jigs to 14fow till day light zero fish. We went to middle channel at dam from 8 to 1:30 pointed boat down stream set trolling motor at 4 using 3/4 jig with paddle tail for dropper and 28 snell with minnow from 3 way. I would say 50-80 fish with 8 keepers. From 2pm to 4:30 dragged and pitched jigs with not a fish down river. Back at dam till 6:30 dragging down steam put fish in boat again. We stayed on outside edge of all the boats seemed to work for us. I would like to say thanks to Steve and Kari for getting us stuff set out for us to fish early!! They are great people and did an awesome job with keeping boats/trailers moving in and out without any issues!! Everts is back and awesome like the past Thanks again Steve and Kari

I fished with Tucker Saturday and the ramp is in awesome shape!! The ramps will be good as long as everyone always remembers to drain boat and trailer just out of water. Thanks Steve for keeping the ramp open and in great shape!!

Thanks Tucker for the great day on the water! It was one of the best days on the water I have had in awhile, it was one fish after another non stop. The doubles were pretty cool too, since it was the first time I really got down to business and used 2 rods at once. Thanks again Tucker!

I have had a buddy heater for years and used in my fip over with no problem. I decided a few weeks ago I wanted the BB, got it for christmas, used it twice with no issues. I used it Sunday and had a big issue and really not sure about them any more. I had the 1st 2 1lb tanks run empty, shut it off to cool down and changed to new tanks, went to re light and here came the problem. I held pilot down for 30-60 sec and then turned to light it, flame came right on and nipple turned cherry orange as I turned it to low postion lock, a blue flame started and got wider as went up the tile till it blew into a 4 ft radius fireball around heater!! I was with friends in another tent who got heater out of mine and tanks off before it burnt my tent up. When it was outside flames were coming out left tank fitting and the middle of the heater? I did not hear or smell any leaks before started heater?? I took back to Mills, they replaced it no questions asked, purchased 12ft hose and will give it a try with a 20lb tank!!

We fish the full moon every year for last 9 years in Oct. We did good in the 23-26 inch range. We did not catch the #’s we usually do a night but did get couple 28’s and a 29, my pb! We did not catch a fish under 21 inches. Not our worst trip but by no means our best.

The numbers of fish a night were down for us this year but we caught some really decent fish. We fished out of Terry’s landing all 4 nights and had good fish. The biggest was a 29 and 3 at 28 with a bunch in the 23 to 25 range. Dave I thought that was you Saturday night as we trolled by, was going to say hi but was not 100% sure.

I had the same deal this weekend also. Purchased 6 Flicker Shads Saturday, had to tune 4 of the 6 before evening putting them out. I check by boat side to see if running true or not, then adjust with reef runner tuner. I have went back to my older shad raps and repainted them.
