I’m happy to say I have a good but well used copy of Ina goda divda from back in the day as well as some great Hendrix, Steppenwolf and others. Still pick up some vinyl when I come across it. The price is starting to go up though since everyone decided the old vinyl was still an excellent format for music. I’m wondering when the old 8-tracks might make a come back. Kind of miss that sudden jump in the middle of some of the songs???

Males have the vent opening further back on the tail than females do. Also if you hold a male tail down and shake him up and down hard enough his penis will come out of the vent.

The thrill is gone He was a legend saw him a couple of times in Concert and he definitely was a great musician. The world is poorer for his loss.

Have not eaten snakehead because fortunately they are not around here. Have eaten both grass carp and silver carp on several occasions and they are both tasty. They both have a lot of bones but there are ways to fillet around at least some of them. I figure maybe we can eat some to help with the problem. Maybe if they could make them taste like spam BK could single handedly reduce the population.

Wow!! Glad to hear no one was hurt. That must have been some impressive wind to put a tree limb through the fridge. Hope the cleanup wasn’t too hard.

If you didn’t carry a pocket knife at school how did you play mumbly-peg or whittle yourself a fishing pole. If you 30 somethings think things have changed talk to some of us 60 somethings. Phones use to be something that was black and hung on the wall in the kitchen or sat on it’s own little table in the hallway.

If it has a lot of small crappie they may have eaten most of the small bass and northern fry. Something like you describe would be very difficult to manage.

It is working now. Don’t you just love debugging all of these little items that keep popping up? Thanks for the quick turn around.

As long as we are asking questions. I just tried to post about fishing structures in the Iowa forum under general discussion and I kept getting that the page could not be found. I ended up just posting it under the General Discussion Forum. So are all of the forums not up and running yet?

Have you checked with a batteries+ store? A friend of mine was able to get them to rebuild a battery for one of his tools and he is very happy with it.

I agree with going slow. Everyone has their own way and time for grieving. Also each person has there own memories associated with items that your friend had. When my father passed away my siblings and I each wanted different things because we each had different attachments. In time you could mention that there are a few things you would like to purchase but make sure the family has had the time and chance to pick before you make your preference known. I’m sure as huntindave said you will be appreciated and rewarded for your help.

So do I understand this correctly that the out groups content is gone and things will be starting over for the groups?

Like several posters said you probably did not inherit your retirement fund, but may have a couple of gems. I have a collection of antique tools, some I purchased some from my grandpa. There are books that you can purchase that discuss the various atributes that make a particular item valuable. Also look around on ebay for what things are selling. Some of the more interesting tools can get pricey but it depends on what each person is interested in. Personaly I like old wood planes especially ones that are used to create some of the interesting moldings. Post some photos of what you have.

I would suggest you contact the NY Dept of Environmental Quality (what they call their DNR in NY) about farm pond management in NY. The other option is the extention office. I know Cornell University has a fisheries and natural resources school so they should have information. Here in Iowa the DNR has a booklet you can request about farm pond management and the extension offices have booklets on aquatic weed management. Here is a link to the information in Iowa http://www.iowadnr.gov/Fishing/AboutFishinginIowa/IowaFarmPonds.aspx Also Auburn University has a lot of information on pond management.
From what it sounds like to me the pond may be out of balance if it has lots of small bluegill and perch and only very large bass.

Sorry for your loss it is hard to loose a bother. I loss my my youngest brother 15 years ago to cancer and still think of him. Try to keep his memory alive in your heart and be assured that time will help ease the pain.

Have to second Larry Topple. I have his Sun Dance print in my office. It is a northern with a small fish in it’s mouth and it is so realistic it’s like sticking your head under the water and looking around.

Take highway 99 east from Wapello. The road to the boat ramp is just past the Toolesboro Indian Mounds sight which has a sign. It’s a gravel road that goes over the bluff as soon as you turn to the left. It’s called Praire St on the map but I don’t remember seeing a sign. http://www.mvr.usace.army.mil/Portals/48/docs/Nav/NavigationCharts/UMR/CHART_85.pdf

This link should take you to a map showing the access site.

the boat ramp is at the southern end of Lake Odessa.

Here’s a really easy lazy mans way of doing pulled pork. Not quite as good as when it is slow smoked but a lot less work. Use a crock pot slow cooker. Put the meat in with a bottle of Italian dressing and a little water. Add a little liquid smoke and cook over night. The next day pour off the liquid and use a couple of forks to shred the pork. put it back in the slow cooker with a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce and cook on low for the rest of the day. Then enjoy on a good bun.
