Looks like some of the Deere mowers have Briggs engines now, same as the Craftsman.

Pretty much why I generated the question as one is paying for how well the mower is built, how easy to maintain, ect. not the engine to me.

    Craftsman – Briggs & Stratton
    Ariens – Briggs & Stratton
John Deere – Briggs & Stratton
    Poulan – Briggs & Stratton
Weed Eater – Briggs & Stratton
    Husqvarna – Briggs & Stratton
Yard Machine – Briggs & Stratton

Thanks for the input guys and I will keep researching. Any suggestions on what people run and how they like them is more then welcome.

    Thanks!

Worth it…. if you can do it yourself. Gear kit is around $15….. 2 beer job

    big G

Fix it but take your time and make it a 6 beer job

I would go with fix it or make it a 12-20 beer job and see if it fixes itself….

I have read about Columnaris Disease, but I think Columnaris will wipe out the fish population if I remember right. Either way any fish kill is not good.

    Never say never.
