Son Jeff arrowed this decent buck 11/17. We had seen several bigger ones but nothing ever presented a shot. Been a good season with 2 other bucks and 3 does for the 3 of us.

December 6, 2006 at 4:09 pm #26716Probably worth mentioning that taxidermist we took it to estimated age at 5 1/2 years – based primarily on size and lack of teeth (absolutely worn down to nothing) One of those deer that probably had a bigger rack in previous years. Commonly refered to as a good “management” buck. Was too bad that one of the “crab” hooks was broken off the left hand main beam. Anyway, he is going to get it mounted mainly because of the uniqueness of it. Normally would be just a little small for the expense involved.
