Nice deer, you must have heart set on something good, if you can pass that.

    X2 no kidding

I do. There’s bigger deer out there. I love watching these 3-4 year old bucks get bigger. Even if I don’t get to shoot them once they’re 5+.

Ready for some magic! It’s so calm out here, that we could hear a neighbor’s morning radio news from 1/2 mile away!

It was sooo quiet this morning, great morning even if we didn’t see a deer.

He was pretty pumped. Now to get my youngest a buck. My son that shot the buck is going to try and fill his doe tag tonight.

It was a big bodied deer. It’s neck was already starting to swell. For reference, my son is 6 foot and 220.

Congrats to you and your son DT! I didnt see anything after the start of legal light this morning. Moved the stand out of the draw this afternoon to better play the wind. Its one heck of a view from up here!

Long story short…this buck came in and my 12 year old had a real panic attack…couldn’t shoot, couldn’t breathe, just immediately locked up…thought he wasn’t gonna be able to pull it together to pull the trigger…luckily the buck was distracted for a looong time while he pulled himself together…

I understand that if you intend to hunt all season. Once you tag a buck, your done unless someone else allows you to fill theirs because the bag limit is one.

I hunt until I fill all my tags, or until Dec 31st. waytogo

Well apparently I wasn’t the only one who was surprised to see him pass on a sizable 8 pointer. And then he said he would rather wait for a 5+ year old instead of a 3 or 4 year old.
